‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Alyvia Alyn Lind Appearing In Dolly Parton’s ‘Coat Of Many Colors’ Encore – Watch It Again!

“Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” will air an encore showing on Christmas Day on NBC, according to Dolly Parton’s website. Dolly’s made-for-TV-movie received much praise from fans all over the world, raking in over 13 million viewers. The movie’s record-breaking audience earned the movie the title of the most-watched TV movie in years.

The highly anticipated movie introduced Alyvia Alyn Lind as eight-year-old Dolly. Lind is best known for her role [Faith Newman] on the CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” Dolly and her sister, Stella Parton both appeared in the movie showcasing one of the most difficult times in young Dolly’s life.

After the movie aired on December 8, critics and fans raved about the flick all over social media. The movie warmed the heart the nation after learning about Dolly’s heartbreak; however, they were moved by Dolly’s ambition to be her family’s songbird.  The rating report showed the movie had 2.5 million viewers in the key demographic of 18-49. Dolly Parton’s movie scored high in each demo in the rating scale. It was the highest watched movie since “Jesse Stone: Innocence Lost” which aired on CBS in 2011.

“Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” is the first flick of several planned inspired by the country star hit songs with the next movie planned “Jolene.” NBC Chairman, Robert Greenblatt told Rolling Stone that he had scripts in mind for multiple other made-for-TV films from Dolly Parton. “We have a script underway on a couple of others like ‘Jolene’,’ and ‘I Will Always Love You,’” Greenblatt stated.

Greenblatt explained, “Coat of Many Colors” was the easy film to start with because it was about her childhood, a true story. The others are fictional based on her songs and are much more involved. Watch the encore showing of “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” on NBC December 25 at 8 p.m.
