‘The Young and the Restless’: Is Marco Annicelli The New Sheila Carter – Will He Be Around For Years To Torment Jack

“The Young and the Restless” fans are demanding closure on the storyline of Maco Anicelli (Peter Bergman) taking over Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) life. They want him to be driven out of town or killed off to never see him again. However, fans are terrified at the possibility that he could be the new Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). Fans are panicking at the thought that the show will keep him around for the long haul to torment Jack.

When you think about it, Sheila and Marco are very similar. Sheila wanted what Lauren had, a family with Scott Grainger (Peter Barton) and a child. She couldn’t let go of the fantasy that Dr. Grainger didn’t love her and wanted a life with Lauren Fenmore( Tracey Bregman). She tried several times to take over Lauren’s life, including getting plastic surgery to look like Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). In the end, Sheila was never successful in her attempt to take over Lauren’s life. There have been rumors that she was returning to Genoa City, but so far no official spoilers have been released about her possible return to “Y&R”.

Fans are worried the writers will try to make Marco the new Sheila. He may disappear only to reappear to take over Jack’s life. And, what’s worse is since he looks just like Jack, fans may not know he has returned for days, months or even years later. They are turning Jack into Lauren, where he will have to look over his shoulder in fear Marco could return at any time.

Marco is a terrifying character because he is not afraid of anyone, not even Victor Newman. He proved that when he demanded that Victor kill Jack. It was a gutsy move to demand the almighty Victor Newman do anything, much less commit a crime to make your life easier. Victor didn’t agree he’d help him, but he didn’t say no either.

It seems “Y&R” introduced Marco to be the new Sheila Carter, bring terror to Jack and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). The show may never rid itself of him, making the Abbott’s live in fear of his return.
