‘The Young And The Restless’ Interview: Justin Hartley & Melissa Claire Egan Reveal How Chelsea Learns The Truth About Adam – Will She Keep Her Husband’s Secret?

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers tease that the big Adam Newman reveal that Y&R fans have been patiently waiting for will finally go down on Monday July 13 on the CBS soap. When Justin Hartley arrived in Genoa City as Gabe Bingham, “The Young and the Restless” fans knew that he was really the not-so-dead character Adam Newman (previously played by Michael Muhney), but we had to wait months, nearly a year, for Gabe’s secret to finally be revealed on the daytime drama.

According to “The Young and the Restless” spoilers from TV Insider’s Michael Logan, on Monday July 13 Gabe will be on top of the world. After making love to his wife (who doesn’t know she is his wife) Chelsea and taking control of Newman Enterprises – Adam Newman feels untouchable, and he is finally getting back his life. Spoilers tease that the overly confident new CEO stands in his father Victor Newman’s office and brags aloud to the picture hanging on the wall that he is really Adam Newman … and Chelsea catches him!

Chelsea and Gabe’s portrayers Melissa Claire-Egan and Justin Hartley sat down with Michael Logan to dish some spoilers on the big Adam Newman reveal. Hartley explained that Victor Newman is Adam Newman’s one weak spot, and his complicated relationship with his father is his indirect demise.

Hartley revealed: “In Gabe’s mind he is CEO. He’s running the show. But his Achilles heel is his need for his father’s acceptance. He can’t help but gloat over his revenge in front of Victor’s picture. “See, Dad, I am good enough! People like me!”

So, we are all dying to know how Chelsea will react to the news that Adam Newman is alive, will she keep his secret? According to “The Young and the Restless” spoilers from Melissa Claire-Egan in the interview, at first Chelsea wants her not-so-dead husband to come clean – but then she begins to realize that it might be better if she helps him keep his secret and carry on the charade as Gabe.

Egan dished to Michael Logan: “At first, she wants Adam to confess to everyone, take responsibility for his actions and be a real father to his son, Connor. Then she starts to think about everyone this news will affect and some of the terrible repercussions. For example, Billy can’t get Delia back. Do we really want to open those wounds again? So she does agree to keep quiet…but we’ll see what happens.”
