‘The Young and The Restless’ Interview: Joshua Morrow Talks Missing Billy Miller, His Dream Leading Lady and More

“The Young and the Restless” star, Joshua Morrow sat down with Soap Opera Digest for a candid interview with the handsome hunk. Joshua revealed how his wife, felt about his passionate love scenes, his dream leading woman, and the ex- co-star; he longs to work with again.
Joshua Morrow explained his wife didn’t give any thought into his love scenes with the beautiful co-stars. He said that Michelle Stafford [ex- Phyllis, Nina, GH] are good friends with his wife, even now. Morrow noted that Sharon Case [Sharon Newman] went for a family vacation with his family, recently. “I cannot wait for Tobe to meet Kelly [, Sullivan. They’ll get along great,” Joshua said.
Joshua Morrow said that he hoped TPTB would pair up Chelsea [Melissa Claire Egan] and Nick. He noticed during the scenes after Christian died that they had amazing chemistry on-screen. He explained it came from a place of hate–Nick’s hatred for his half-brother, Adam [Justin Hartley]. Joshua explained he wasn’t certain if the writers planned to pair up Chelsea and Nick romantically, but was open with the idea.
Joshua stated that Nick’s romantic history included Sharon [Sharon Case], and he misses the connection with her on the show. He explained that while they share scenes together, now–it isn’t the same as being a super couple.
Joshua Morrow said the set has been the same since Billy Miller left to work for ABC “General Hospital.” He noted they worked together for so long that he couldn’t imagine working without him. Joshua said he sees him regularly still, but his presence is missed on the set.
Joshua Morrow got teary-eyed talking about his TV kids. He said, “If Camryn Grimes, Hunter King, Robbie (Robert) Adamson or Alyvia Alyn Lind ever need anything in life, I can be their FIRST phone call, no matter the hour.”
Joshua Morrow has been on “The Young and the Restless” for just over two decades portraying Nicholas Newman. Whether you love or hate Nick Newman, you can’t deny his portrayal of Nick Newman is legendary.
