‘The Young and the Restless’ Interview: Victoria Rowell Talks Her New Movie, Her Fans and Working With Kristoff St. John

“The Young and the Restless” alum Victoria Rowell and fan favorite, Kristoff St. John starred in the Christmas UP production, “A Baby for Christmas.” The film is the third in the series, and the second movie that St. John starred alongside Rowell, according to Soap Opera Digest. She noted that this film was a great story, and she thoroughly enjoyed working with the cast and crew.

Rowell said that the ratings for the newest movie were the best they had ever seen in previous years. She attributed it to her fan base being intact, and her fans wanting to see her reunited with Kristoff on the screen. “It was great working with Kristoff again. It’s like riding a bike. Our ratings last year trumped the year before. I expected nothing less. That shows our fan base is intact, and they want to see us together, anywhere. I am really excited about that because it gives us the opportunity to work together on other projects [I hope],” Victoria explained.

Victoria explained the UP gave both her and Kristoff Executive Producer roles for the film. She said, “Kristoff and I have put decades of work into work in television. Our hard work was recognized, and we could serve as producers as well as actors. It was great to work behind the camera as well as in front of it.”

Victoria portrays Stephanie, who is a traditionalist. She is loving, with a big personality, and she is all about her family. She longs to control her life, but life has a way of controlling you if you try to control it too much. In this movie, Rowell admits that Stephanie will be expecting the arrival of her twin first grandchildren.

Victoria noted the show could end up a series. She said, “There has been talk about turning the movie franchise in a series. I can say there is a push for this. They will have the final say, but it looks promising.” Victoria hinted that she could land on the hit prime-time show, “Blacklist.” Victoria keeps herself pretty busy; she just finished a health and wellness book that should be available in the next few months.
