‘The Young and the Restless” actress Kate Linder who plays Esther Valentine on the popular Daytime Soap is celebrating a birthday today. (November 2, 2015) In celebration of her birthday we decided to compose 10 things you need to know about Kate.

- Linder has had roles in the feature films Hysteria (2012), Erased (2013), and Miss Meadows (2014) starring Katie Holmes as a teacher with Kate as Trudy Navis, the school’s principal.
- Kate’s father was a CPA and her mother, a homemaker and dedicated tennis player. She has a brother Randy.
- When Kate finished high school, she’d appeared in major singing and dancing roles in “Promises, Promises,” “Three Penny Opera,” “L’il Abner,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” and many others.
