‘The Young and the Restless’ Comings and Goings: Y&R Casting Man Aged 20-30, Physically Strong For Kidnapper Role

“The Young and the Restless” casting spoilers indicated that the CBS daytime drama is looking to cast a new character to spice up the show. According to the scoop from Soap Opera Digest, the actor should be a male between the ages of 20-30 years old, physically strong, and be able to handle heavy dialogue.

The spoiler doesn’t reveal who the kidnapper would interact with, just that he needed to handle an intensive script with heavy dialogue. Immediately, fans panicked that the kidnapper would work closely with Dr. Anderson [Elizabeth Bogush], and could snatch Sully or err Christian. Even though that is a possibility, it is looking like the kidnapper storyline could go in another direction.

Billy Abbott [Burgess Jenkins] has found himself in another mess the past couple weeks. Earlier in the week, Phyllis [Gina Tognoni] discovered that not only is Billy drinking heavily, but he is also gambling again. The fact he took up gambling once again, spelling nothing but trouble for the youngest Abbott brother.

It is possible that the kidnapper could be connected to Ian Ward [Ray Wise]in some way. Clearly, he is not above breaking the law, and kidnapping would be right up his alley. Ian Ward should be in prison right now; however, Ian’s never let a silly thing like prison bars get in his way with his revenge against the Newman family.

The most likely scenario is Noah [Robert Adamson] will find himself kidnapped by Luca’s [Miles Gaston Villanueva] cronies. Last week, Noah set the wheels in motion by turned Luca into the FBI. Luca reacted by telling Victor [Eric Braeden], “Do you want me to teach him a lesson or will you do it?”

Noah has become a big problem for Luca. First, he bedded his estranged wife, Marisa [Sofia Pernas]. Then, he called the FBI to turn him in as an arm’s dealer. Now, Luca took up residences at Newman Towers and owns part of Noah’s family’s business; they will be working much closer together. It is a recipe for a disaster.

Soap Opera Digest didn’t reveal when the kidnapper will begin taping. Soap Opera Spy will release more information as it becomes available.
