“The Young and the Restless” spoilers bring you the long awaited Wednesday, August 12 Cabin Killer reveal episode. “Young and the Restless” fans are on the edge of their seats waiting for the big cabin killer reveal happening today. Most fans are in agreement that Marco and Detective Harding are responsible for Courtney and Austin’s murders. Is it possible that there someone else is involved that fans would never suspect? As this Y&R episode shows, Marco and Harding are sure enough the murderers responsible for Austin’s and Courtney’s deaths – but something doesnt add up.
We all know that Austin was researching the Abbotts and Newmans when he was killed. He was digging into their history to prove that they can get away with everything, including murder. At first, it looked like Sharon’s interview could have something to do with his death. She was cleared, but his death remained a mystery. Today’s episode implies that Harding might have killed Austin by accident.
Courtney was murdered when she saw Marco in the surveillance video in the park. She was confused by it because she thought it was Jack. When she investigated further into seeing Jack in the park, she was murdered. On Wednesday’s episode, it is revealed that Courtney was murdered by Marco, but Det. Harding helped him cover it up. The big question is why would Harding cover it up?
Detective Harding and Marco have been working together ever since Marco bribed Harding after an accidental encounter during which Harding mistook Marco for Jack. It implies that Det. Harding has been a dirty cop ever since then and that he could be responsible for murdering Courtney and Austin. What reasons would he have to kill them? Before Austin’s murder, Detective Harding was well-respected in the police department. Now, the writers want the fans to believe that all of a sudden he turned dirty and into a murderer over a simple bribe. It just doesn’t add up.
There has to be, or at least there BETTER be a missing piece to the puzzle that will eventually shock the fans. Marco is a bad guy and Det. Harding is not only working with him but murdering people? We are supposed to buy that Marco promising to make Harding a rich man, if he’d do what he wanted him to do, was enough to turn a lifelong honarable officer of the law into a hardened criminal? Something about it doesn’t add up? Why would a good cop agree so easily to work with a known drug lord? The more details that are revealed the more questions come up. Fans, you decide; do you think Det. Harding is simply a dirty cop or is there more to this story? Do you think it is possible that Austin is still alive?

I can’t believe that Detective Harding could turn bad so easily. I think that maybe Courtney and Austin are alive and being hidden so as to make Marco think he has gotten away with everything.
Sheila sprung Patty from the loonie bin and Patty/Dr. Peterson are returning to Y&R soon. Patty was last seen in South America. She and Sheila hooked up with Marco there. Sheila and Marco are behind it all. Sheila’s new face could be Phyllis’ (3 sets of look-a-likes) They kill and replace Jack, Phyllis and Dr. P and frame Victor, take over Jabot and Newman.
I am bummed out that they made Harding that guy! I thought maybe Joe cause he was such a jack a$$ to Austin at one point. So Harding that had the bunnies? This makes no sense!
I love Detective Harding. I’m so upset with them making him the scapegoat and now they’ll have to send him away and we lose another great actor. Why do we keep losing all the actors we love as your bringing in new ones all the time.
People Crack me up hatching all these convoluted theories. The bottom line is Pratt just needs to scape goat characters to wrap up the story.
Chris McKenna is only a tertiary character as Harding so he’s expendable. And of course Marco can be sacrificed without losing Peter Bergman. It’s just that simple. None of this has anything to do with Shelia or Patty.
Kimberlyn Brown or Stacy Hadduck haven’t been invited back to the show. The conclusion of this story is lazy writing by Pratt for sure.
But I think Pratt wrote this story as a simple means to an end. He wanted to kill off a couple of useless characters create a mystery and some suspense and breathe some new life into the stale Jack vs Victor rivalry.
He accomplished all of those goals albeit by using trite soap clichés.
