Nicole is Nick and Maya’s surrogate and Zende has decided to stand by her. Zende tells Eric, “I certainly wasn’t expecting Nicole to carry Rick and Maya’s children.”
Eric is impressed by Zende’s devotion to Nicole. Eric goes to see Maya and reassures her about Zende, “That young man is completely devoted to your sister.
When Ridge broke up with Caroline he revealed to Brooke he couldn’t have children. Brooke reveals to Liam, “When Ridge was in Paris he had a vasectomy.”
Although Nicole has decided to be a surrogate for Maya she is still nervous. Nicole tells Zende, “This roller coaster ride won’t be half as scary if you are riding it with me.”
Caroline and Ridge have decided not to tell Thomas her baby is his. Caroline reassures Ridge and says, “You are the only father this kid will know.”
