‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Rumors: What Is Maya’s Big Secret? – The Good, The Bad and The Ridiculous – Vote In Our Poll!

“The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers hint that Maya (Karla Mosley) has a secret that could come as quite a shock to B&B viewers. Of course, the moment soap fans hear “secret,” the rumor mill starts churning out plenty of theories. Right now it’s anyone’s best guess what Maya’s been hiding. Still, it might be fun to take a look at some of the speculation that’s out there and see if there could be some truth to the rumors.

Let’s start with the most obvious theory: Nicole (Reign Edwards) is Maya’s daughter. B&B fans know that Maya had a daughter she gave up for adoption before entering prison. When Maya was released, she tried to track her down and learned that the child died. However, that doesn’t mean that Maya didn’t have another daughter beforehand. This theory lines up with Nicole saying she wouldn’t be swept under the rug just because Maya was ashamed of her. Perhaps Maya’s parents raised Nicole as their own daughter after Maya gave birth to her as a teen. Sure, Maya would have been very young, but it’s still within the realm of possibilities. Besides, fudging a character’s age happens all the time on soaps. “The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers promo video shows Nicole saying that she could destroy everything with one word. Presumably, that word would be “mom.”

The only real problem with mother/daughter theory is that “The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers tease that Maya will ask Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) to do a background check on Nicole. It seems like Maya wouldn’t want Carter digging around if she thought he might learn the truth. Then again, maybe Maya feels confident her parents covered their tracks enough so that no one outside the family would ever find out.

There are also rumors that Maya could have been a prostitute at some point. This news would be something that Rick (Jacob Young) wouldn’t be happy about, but he doesn’t seem to care too much about Maya’s past. The same goes for the idea that Maya has done porn. In some ways, these details don’t seem big enough to destroy Maya’s world as Nicole claims the revelation would do. The soap message boards have also been on fire about the possibility that Maya had a sex change, but since we know that Maya gave birth, it appears we can go ahead and put that rumor to rest.

Next, there’s the theory that Maya is in cahoots with someone and she doesn’t want Rick to know about it. Maybe Maya is getting a hefty sum of money to go behind Rick’s back. On the flip side, there’s also speculation that Maya wanted Rick to maintain his powerful status as CEO of Forrester Creations so she fixed the quarterly numbers. We know Nicole has computer hacking abilities so it’s seems plausible that she could find that out with a little snooping. However, the story seems to be pointing to a secret that’s buried deep in Maya’s past so those options might be a little too recent.

Bottom line, we don’t know for sure what Maya’s secret is, but that won’t stop B&B viewers from sharing their ideas. After all, anything is possible on a soap. We’ll give you updates if the rumors turn into confirmed “The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers.
