‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Rumor: Stephanie Forrester Returns To Haunt Forrester Mansion and Right Some Wrongs?

After a 25 year run on The Bold and the Beautiful, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) said goodbye to her on-screen family and legions of soap fans when she exited the show in late 2012. Her character passed away from lung cancer. Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), Stephanie’s long-time nemesis on the show, was by her side singing When Irish Eyes Are Smiling as Stephanie passed. It was an emotional and tear-jerking scene and there was no question that she was definitely gone for good – or is she?

Executive Producer Bradley Bell has said before that they are leaving Stephanie dead and that he won’t be talking to Susan Flannery about a possible return, but now a rumor is floating around on an Australian soap site that Stephanie Forrester may come back from the great beyond. Obviously she wouldn’t be back “alive” alive, but she could come back as a flashback, a ghost or an omen apparition of some sort.

If you remember, last year on Bold and the Beautiful, Darla Forrester (Schae Harrison) came back from the dead for a three episode arc. She died in car accident when she was struck by Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) in a car accident. She came back to visit her daughter Aly (Ashlyn Pierce) as a ghost. Darla came back to offer advice to her now-teenaged daughter. This was a great bonding moment for the girl who grew up without her mom. Imagine how many people Stephanie could visit as a specter?

And, if you think about it, Stephanie has already made one post-mortem visit back to haunt her fellow Forresters (and her ex-husband Eric Forrester in particular). Back in February 2014, when Brooke Logan and Ridge Forrester were trying to get married (yet again), the wedding was stopped by a well-timed faint from Katie. But then after she’s carted off to the hospital to have her heart checked, Eric kissed Donna in reassurance and Stephanie’s portrait fell off the wall at Forrester Mansion. Eric then said, “All right, all right. I get it!”

So if Stephanie did come back from the grave to dole out some advice, who do you think she’d visit and what advice would she offer? Would she haunt Brooke and act the poltergeist to her old frenemy?
