‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ (B&B) Interview: Darin Brooks Discusses Wyatt And Liam’s Complex Relationship

“Bold and the Beautiful” Darin Brooks thinks his character Wyatt Spencer always seems to get passed over when it comes to the important things. Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is the favored son and their father Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) hands everything to Liam on a silver platter. All the while Wyatt has to claw his way to achieve his goals.

And, Darin Brooks would like to see all that turn around for Wyatt! According to an interview in the most recent issue of Soaps In Depth. “I think [Wyatt’s] pretty frustrated by things. Wyatt has been getting the short end of the stick, and I’d like to see that turn around for him.” The actor says he’d like to see what happens if the tables were turned and Liam was all of a sudden the son that got passed over and Wyatt became the favorite son!

But for now Wyatt answers to his brother Liam – even though he is a more qualified corporate executive than his brother. Not only that, but poor Wyatt has been the second choice when it comes to women as well. He eloped with Hope Logan (Kim Matula) when she felt Liam had let her down. And then he went after Liam’s ex-wife Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and that failed miserably. He’s romancing Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) – another of Liam’s discards. But this relationship looks like it just may work out!

Even though Wyatt may be considered a black sheep by his father Bill, his mother Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) is always on his side. “Quinn is always going to be stirring up things on his behalf,” says Darin Brooks. But the actor would love to see Wyatt go against his father Bill and start his own fashion house that would rival Forrester Creations. “I think that’s still going to be an idea that’s in the back of Wyatt’s mind. He may have put the idea to bed for now, but he’s always trying to think 10 steps ahead to find some scheme that would lead to something great.”

It certainly would be fun for fans of “B&B” to see Wyatt and Ivy pull the rug out from under Steffy and Liam – and prove to Bill Spencer once and for all that Wyatt is more than deserving of his attention and respect. Do you think it’s possible TPTB will turn the tables and give Wyatt and Ivy the upper hand? All “Bold and the Beautiful fans can do is keep watching and see what happens.
