‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ (B&B) Interview: Linsey Godfrey Discusses Caroline’s Pregnancy – Keeping Secrets From Ridge And Thomas

“The Bold and the Beautiful’s” (B&B) Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Caroline Forrester (Linsey Godfrey) made a decision to keep her pregnancy a secret from Thomas Forrester (Pierson Fode). Linsey shared her thoughts on the secret being kept and what the future holds for the newlyweds.

Let it be known that Thomas did not take advantage of Caroline – he was clueless about the anti-depressants she had taken before he arrived to console her. In a recent interview with Michael Fairman of On-Air On-Soaps Pierson discussed the dilemma Thomas faced when he found out Caroline had taken prescription medication before drinking with him that fateful night. Says Fode, “Thomas thought he was making love to Caroline, and unfortunately they were both under the influence. It was just a misunderstanding.”

How does Linsey Godfrey feel about Caroline and Thomas involved in sexual situation in which they were both used impaired judgement. In the same interview Godfrey revealed, “I was shocked when Brad Bell [executive producer and head writer] told me about the storyline.” Linsey knew that this storyline was going to be big – not just for her but for Thorsten Kaye and Pierson Fode. “I think I left the office with my mouth open, and called Pierson on my way home!”

And what does Linsey think would happen if Ridge later decides to leave her? Godfrey explained, “If Ridge left her, I don’t think Caroline would be okay.” And Caroline is extremely confused at this point – after telling Ridge she is pregnant with his son’s child – ultimately Ridge’s grandchild. She wants to be with Ridge but she is conflicted about keeping the secret from Thomas. And in the interview Linsey Godfrey had this to say about what may happen next for Caroline and Ridge – “Caroline and Ridge have some serious big decisions to make individually and as a couple.”
