‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ (B&B) Interview: Heather Tom Discusses Mother’s Medical Condition – Thanks Fans For Support

“Bold and the Beautiful” (B&B) actress Heather Tom (Katie Logan Spencer) is very grateful for social media and thanks fans who used it to show an outpouring of love and support during her mom’s recent health crisis. Heather admits she was a little behind the times when it came to the social media game but now she’s happy she finally got into the swing of things.

In a recent interview with Soaps In Depth the actress revealed that her mom Marie is doing much better after suffering heart failure earlier this year – and is on the road to recovery. “It was awful. It was horrible…like…she was going to die.” In addition to support from family and friends Heather felt overwhelmed – in a good way – by the fans who reached out to comfort her during that distressing time. “That really floored me. I want to cry thinking about it.” Heather finds it amazing how people all over the world are able to reach out so easily to people they don’t even know and share their life experiences.

And it’s that sharing of experiences from fans of “Bold and the Beautiful” that got Heather through the toughest parts of dealing with her mom’s health crisis. She was able to say “This is what’s going on in my life” and get instant feedback, help, well-wishes and prayers. Having Facebook, Twitter and Instagram has broadened Heather’s insight into the world, and “It actually made [going through my mother’s medical crisis] a lot easier.”
