SOD’s Hottest Show ‘Days of Our Lives,’ Hottest Star Linsey Godfrey – Learn the Biggest Reveal & Worst Villain Plus More!

Soap Opera Digest complied what they called a hot list. They listed all the trending soap storylines and stars- from the hottest show to the hottest love story- this list has it ALL. This year has been an amazing year for the world of soap operas. We had an Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) and expecting a Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) reveal any time now. And, that’s not all- E.J.(James Scott) may not be dead after all! It’s definitely a great year in soaps!

Hottest Show

There’s no question, hands down that “Days of Our Lives” was the hottest show this year! They have their 50 anniversary episode coming up in a few short weeks, and are in the midst of an HUGE serial killer reveal. It was just revealed that E.J. DiMera may not after all. They brought back Patch (Stephen Nichols) and Bo (Peter Reckell) as well as brought romance to be the focal point during the show. The result was a nice little jump in ratings.

Hottest Star

“Bold and the Beautiful” Linsey Godfrey is the hottest soap star of the year. She has not only had a great year with a front burner storyline, but experienced personal off-screen drama as well. In February of 2015, she was run over resulting in a lengthy recovery and hospital stay. Not only that, she separated from her long-time beau, Robert Adamson (Noah “Y&R”). Linsey Godfrey has delivered true Emmy award winning scenes!

Hottest Reveal

There is no question in that “The Young and the Restless” Adam Newman’s reveal was the HOTTEST reveal on daytime TV. The whole, “Adam is alive” dialog on “The Young and the Restless” brings a new level of excitement. Fans were shocked that Lauralee Bell brought her “A” game in her part of the storyline. She proved why she has stayed with the show for so many years (aside from being part of the Bell family). The most shocking part of his reveal was how his wife, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) turned on him so quickly. It turned many of her fans off in an HUGE way.

Hot Mess

There is NO question that the hot mess award must go to “The Young and the Restless” Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). She seemed like she finally was doing well. That was until she miscarried her baby a few months ago. Instead of telling Dylan (Steve Burton) and grieving together, she kept the truth from him. She conspired with adult daughter, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) to get pregnant quickly. She ended up realizing that she needed mental health treatment and checked herself into Fairview. While at Fairview, she learned she was pregnant- or is she? No one really knows at this point, but she has crazy Patty (Stacy Haiduk) there to protect (or not) her.

Hottest Villain

There is NO question who deserves the title of the hottest villain this year. “The Young and the Restless” Ian Ward (Ray Wise) is creepy, calculating and downright memorizing in this role. He gives us the creeps, but somehow we want more and more of him. He managed to trick Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) into believing he was a grieving widower, not an easy feat. His vendetta against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has many “The Young and the Restless” fans hoping and praying for his return.
