Nicole’s Weekly Soap Rants & Raves: What Were Your Favorite and Least Favorite Storylines for Week of August 31, 2015?

It’s been a great week on daytime TV. We’ve seen a wedding, Sonny was shot, a murder mystery, revenge, and blackmail. In other words, it has been just another week in soap land. Let’s examine the good, the bad and the ugly.

Young and the Restless

‘Young and the Restless” had an eventful week. It seems like Adam really wants to tell the whole town that he is not Gabe. The only thing keeping it from leaking out is he doesn’t want any more separation from his family. Chelsea seems much stressed thinking of the possibility of ANYONE finding out his true identity.

Victor, oh Victor- Will you ever pay for any of your misdeeds. It seems like no matter what kind of shenanigans you get in- the writers have an out for you. Not only do you get out a jam; you come out ahead. Just once I would like for you to pay for your terrible antics.

Neil, Neil, Neil- you apparently had Victor school you in how to treat a lady. You took a page of Victor’s play book when you kidnaped Hilary. Devon will be so angry with you. Lily will shut you out of her life at least for a while. And for what, a silly revenge plan? You are digging a deep dark hole with no hope of rescue. You could have walked away. Devon, I feel your pain. I hope you find Hilary soon and learn of your father’s involvement. You never deserved any of this.

Adam, you made the show this week. You made me tune in with your vendetta against Victor. And- the Paragon reveal was nothing short of genius. You are working with Ian Ward. It never crossed my mind that you’d work with him-, and he has no clue you are Adam. He believes you are Gabriel Bingham. Bravo, Adam- you may get your father yet.

General Hospital

It was a busy week in Port Charles. Not only was there a big wedding plan this week, but Sonny was shot. There is a panic among the fans if he survives this. Come on, he is Sonny Corthinos- of course he’ll live.

The Olivia and Julian cat and mouse game is getting old. Fans know that Julian will find out his son. Leo never died. On Friday, Olivia told him that she could trust him, and he can’t trust her because they are both liars. Boy- isn’t that the truth.

The best scenes of the week went to Nina and Kiki. The way they both told their criminally insane mother’s off was Emmy worthy. Fans have wanted to say much of what they said. Kiki told Ava,” I hope Avery will never have to live the stain existence of being your child. She calls Carly mama now.” Great material.

At this point, I have lost interest in Nikolas and Hayden. A power couple, I don’t see it. She doesn’t seem to trust him at all. Once she remembers he had her shot- it’ll be over for sure.

Please, “GH”- let Jake remember he is Jason. It’s my Christmas wish.

Bold and the Beautiful

Here we go, another pregnancy storyline; Caroline had sex with Thomas- but somehow doesn’t remember. She thinks he may have drugged her or something. Once she figured out she did something with him, she came unraveled. And to add to her dismay, Ridge wants to give her what she wants- a happy family. Caroline clearly doesn’t want to deal with what she did with Thomas.

Oh, Ivy, this is getting pretty old. Just use the video or delete it. Stop taunting Steffy with it. At first, the threats were interesting, but they quickly became annoying. Please- Wyatt stop speaking for Ivy. And Ivy, if you think, Steffy will let you become the new face of Forrester without a fight- you are not a very smart girl.

Quinn isn’t bothering me as bad as she once was. I really enjoy her scenes with Deacon. They balance each other very well. Please show more of them CBS.

Days of Our Lives

“DOOL” is getting exciting once again. There is a serial killer mystery. It looks like Chad could have been the culprit, but something about it doesn’t add up. My bet is that Clyde killed Serena. And, it looks like there are more murders coming to Salem this week. Stay tuned for more chaos.

The hostage seen last week was Bo. He’s alive. And, that’s why he has not had contact with Hope. No one knows any information other than he’s alive, and he’s not in good condition. My bet is that Aidan may have had something to do with his capture. And, did Clyde kill Kyle? It looks that way right now. He hurt him somehow, but for now it is the big unknown.
