Each week, I will address storylines and events that happened on the daytime soap opera, dissect them, and tell you which storylines I loved or hated. It’ll be a rant and rave type of post if you wish. This week was action packed from courtroom showdowns to a wedding that is doomed for failure. It was a week to remember.
Who can hate Franco and Nina together? It is so refreshing to see how Franco is willing to go to prison to protect her. He believes in her, which is perfect because she feels the same about him. It is going to be interesting to see how they will get out of the jam they are in now. Clearly somehow they will both come out of it unscathed.
Oh Morgan, what a tangled web we weaved. You slept with your girlfriend’s mother- while telling her you want to spend your life with her. Unbeknownst to you, Franco just spilled the tea and Kiki knows everything. It won’t take her long to suspect you killed her father- even though you are innocent. Fans should brace themselves to see Morgan spiral out of control in the coming weeks.
Madeline, oh Madeline- you sure aren’t winning mother of the year this year. Not only did you help Ric gaslight your own daughter, but you tried to one up Ric and scam him out of the loot as well. You deserve everything coming your way. Fans are hoping you will share a jail cell with Ava for a very long time.
No matter how hard I try, I cannot muster any sympathy for Ava. There has been so much heartache caused by her wrongdoings. And, how in the world could she live with herself for sleeping with her daughter’s boyfriend? Ava is doing to need a miracle to repair her relationship with Kiki and get out of jail.
It seems like a slap on the face to the fans that Silas’ murder is wrapped up, yet Jake doesn’t know he is Jason yet. The reveal is set to come out in November sweeps, which is a FULL two months away. We can only hope when he learns the truth, he tosses nurse Liz on her behind.
Oh, Adam- how you never learn from your mistakes. As a fan, we love your intensity. We love that you are not afraid to go toe-to-toe with the almighty Victor Newman- but please pump the brakes just a tad. Chelsea loves you and wants to fight for your marriage. Please, don’t mess this up again.
There will be an Adam vs. Victor showdown soon. The stars are aligning it looks like when and if Victor even leaves GC, Adam will reign as the evil genius of the show. Victor has to see some of the signs that Gabriel is really Adam. The Adam reveal is coming too- and boy when everyone knows his identity, they will know exactly why Gabriel rubbed them the wrong way.
Sharon, poor, poor Sharon- must she go through another heartache. She has lost so much, and now another child is gone. The fan backlash from her miscarriage was pretty intense. Most felt that the show could have given Sharon another baby- and killed off Sage’s baby. Her plan to get pregnant quickly will not go as smoothly as she hopes. It is a failed mission from the start. In the end, Dylan will be the one to get hurt the most.
Sage- why can’t she just leave GC- she really believes she deserves happiness. She wants Adam and Marissa to leave town, so she can have everything she wants, a family. Sage if these two people are bothering you so much now- by knowing your secret- perhaps you should have told your precious husband Nick everything. The writers are setting it up for Sage to be the new Sharon- I think. When Nick finds out-, and he will- Sage will be seen as a liar.
At first, I was on Ivy Forrester’s side about Ally’s death. Let’s face it; Steffy can be calculating and downright mean at times. Ivy was sweet and needed someone to be in her corner. She was angry that Liam left her for her enemy- Steffy. Ivy lost a fan. She changed her personality and is no longer someone to root for. In fact, I am hoping it all blows up in her face like a grenade. The only way to explain Ivy’s terrible personality switch would be a brain tumor or some unknown disease.
Oh, Caroline- how cute is it that you think a baby will solve all the problems in your relationship with Ridge. It won’t solve a darn thing. In fact, it would bring more problems into a relationship that is doomed from the get-go.
Quinn and Ivy will get into a brawl in no time. She is the type that answers to no one. She seemed pretty upset that Ivy was questioning her experience. She responded by telling Wyatt to tell her to respect her. Deacon piped in order to enforce to Wyatt to make sure Ivy is nicer to his mother. Ivy is making enemies all over the company.
The show is starting to pick up, and unless you watch the show every single day, you miss quite a bit. Patch is back and it looks like Bo is back too. Aidan was scared of losing Hope, so he popped the question. For some weeks, fans have speculated that he has a dark side, but weren’t entirely certain about what it could include. At the end of Friday’s show, you saw a glimpse of Bo in captivity. It implied that Aidan COULD be the holding him hostage.
Why oh why did Serena have to die? There was so much they could have done with Melissa Archer. She was probably the most underutilized character on the show. Even so, she was obviously strangled. She had a tie around her neck, but whose tie was it? It didn’t belong to Chad, but he is the prime suspect? It doesn’t make much sense.
What’s the deal with the listening devices? It seems to go hand in hand with you getting killed off. Serena had a listening device before she was murdered. Eve let it slip out to Kyle that JJ is working undercover with the police. Fans are scared that Eve may have revealed the information to the wrong person and unwillingly put Paige in harm’s way. From the looks of the weekly promo, fans should brace themselves for one heck of a week.
