General Hospital’s Dr. Liesl Obrecht, Kathleen Gati Joins Cast Of Winterthorne

Last week we reported that Dallas star Linda Gray was joining the cast of the highly anticipated online Soap Winterthorne, playing the role of matriarch, Joanna Winterthorne.  Now more casting news, one of my favourite General Hospital actors Kathleen Gati will also be headed to Winterthorne.  Kathleen will be playing Valentina Winterthorne, the power-hungry sister of Joanna.

Currently Kathleen plays the deliciously naughty, Dr. Liesl Obrecht on General Hospital.

According to the Daytime Emmy Nominated series creator Michael Caruso regarding the role of Valentina, “Joanna will stop at nothing to unearth the big family secret Miranda is hiding. The character is a strict follower of the old ways of the Winterthorne family which caused a major rift between her and her sister, Joanna.”

Caruso said about the casting of Kathleen,  “Kathleen Gati is a powerhouse actress who brings a richness and depth to every role she tackles. She is so much more than a traditional ‘villain.’ She really embodies all the layers required for a role like this. She is really going to turn up the heat in this role. All of us are dying to work with her.”
