‘General Hospital’ Spoilers Wednesday, August 12: Nina Confronts Ava, Dr. Obrecht Pleads Franco’s Case, TJ Defends Sonny

Murder mystery intrigue today in Port Charles – here are some hot ‘General Hospital’ spoilers to get you ready for the August 12 show.

Is Silas Clay [Michael Easton] haunting Ava Jerome [Maura West]? It would only be fitting since even if Ava didn’t put the knife in Silas’ back herself, she’s a big part of the reason he’s dead. Nina Clay [Michelle Stafford] confronts Ava today and wants to know what she’s using to blackmail Franco [Roger Howarth]. Will Ava show her the photo or play coy as usual?

Nina will not let Ava manipulate Franco that way. Nina is ready to sacrifice herself to get Franco out of jail – and it’s really better for Ava that way because she needs Franco out so he can get the flash drive with the evidence against her out of his dad Scotty Baldwin’s [Kin Shriner] desk. Of course, this is all complicated by Ava still trying to pretend she’s Denise but Nina will let her know she’s on to her.

And speaking of Scotty, he’ll have a couple of interesting chats today. First, his son’s BFF Dr Liesl Obrecht [Kathleen Gati] stops by to tell Scotty that he needs to get his son out of jail and help him ASAP. Scotty has to explain his hands are tied by the mayor, but that won’t be good enough for Dr O. Scotty will make a huge sacrifice for Franco and walk away from his DA job to defend his son.

And Ric Lansing [Rick Hearst] will likely end up with the job. Will Scotty and Ric make a deal? Will Scotty hand the job over if Ric goes easy on his son? These two aren’t exactly pals since Ric keeps getting off the mobsters that Scotty is trying to prosecute. Should be a fun conversation. Also today, Dr O makes a very interesting discovery while trying to help out Franco.

Kiki Jerome [Hayley Erin] is blaming herself for her dad’s death. She cries to Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig] that she wishes she knows what her dad has to tell her, wishes she had shown up sooner so she could have saved him and wonders if the secret is what killed him. Morgan has to reassure her and keep telling lies to cover for he and Ava. Will the dishonesty ever stop with him?

In mob news, Jordan Ashford [Vinessa Antoine] goes to see her son and overhears Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] tell TJ Ashford [Tequan Richmond] that he’s part of his family while Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] looks on with a loving smile. Jordan is horrified and speaks up bashing Sonny which puts TJ in the position of defending him, driving a further wedge between mother and son.

And Julian Jerome [William deVry] gets a special delivery from Sonny – some sort of twisted message that tells him that he’s certain Julian is the man messing with the Corinthos syndicate. Alexis Davis [Nancy Lee Grahn] is there when the delivery happens and wants to know what this is about. Once again, Julian has to insist that he’s not involved. Will Alexis continue to believe him?
