‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Escapes Jail But Gets Served a Karmic Slap by Michael

Monday was a great day on ‘General Hospital.’ We finally got some resolution on the custody battle but then several other story lines opened up leaving us with cliffhangers. Let’s take a look at what happened and some spoilers for coming days.

It’s been very tense between Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] and adoptive dad Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] what with their custody battle over baby Avery and then Sonny plotting to spirit her away when the court awarded Michael custody. But today, Michael finally got his hands on his sister thanks to Kiki Jerome [Hayley Erin] refusing to cooperate with Morgan Corinthos’ [Bryan Craig] kidnapping scheme. Kiki wasn’t happy to hand her baby sister over to Michael, but did.

But that wasn’t all. Michael reminded Sonny about the scar on his head from when he was shot and what a danger he legitimately poses to his children. Lucky for Sonny he handed Avery over because Michael was ready to send both Sonny and mom Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] to jail for conspiracy to kidnap. As he took little Avery in his arms, Michael delivered the karmic slap. He says Avery Jerome Corinthos is such a long name, he’s just going to call her “AJ.” Bam!

Sonny took one AJ away from Michael and now Michael takes an AJ from Sonny.

There are some other baby and kid story lines heating up now that also have us all intrigued. Here are some ‘General Hospital’ spoilers on these fronts.

First, Georgie Spinelli [Harper Rose Barash] will have an emergency this week which will lead her mom Maxie Jones [Kirsten Storms] and dad Damien Spinelli [Bradford Anderson] racing to get to her. This will cause Maxie to rethink telling Spinelli that they’re through because she’ll see how fleeting family can be and how good they are as a unit.

Second, though he’s not a baby, we’ve still got some issues with little guy Spencer Cassadine [Nicolas Bechtel]. Last we saw he was pretty much comatose and dad Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] is by his side shedding tears. What’s up with him? Since they’re using his accident as a tool to promote Shriner’s Hospital for Children, I can’t imagine they will let him die and are also not replacing him. Maybe the kid is just out for spring break or had finals at school.

Third, there’s a huge rumor afoot that Ava Jerome [Maura West] really does owe Nina Clay [Michelle Stafford] a baby, although not baby Avery as Nina tried to claim. Nina’s crazy mom Madeline Reeves [Donna Mills] put her into a coma and she supposedly miscarried the child she was pregnant with when she went into the coma. Here’s where its gets twisty.

Madeline has conspired with Ava to sleep with Silas Clay [Michael Easton] to try and break them up. But the rumor is that Nina delivered the baby while still in her coma and that Madeline gave the baby to Ava to raise as her own and that baby was Kiki! They say you can hear things in a coma, so if Nina heard her mom give her baby to Ava, then all of her crazy rantings make sense.

This also explains why when Silas tested Kiki to see if she was a bone marrow match to treat Ava’s recently diagnosed and highly fatal Non-Hodgkins lymphoma and found out she was not. Could that be because they’re not related? Wonder if they’ll let baby Avery donate for her mom? In some cases, that happens, but would Michael allow it as Avery’s guardian and de facto daddy? That also means that Avery would not be Kiki’s sister at all!

What do you think, GH fans, is Kiki really Nina’s child? And, if so, how will she handle being told yet again that a parent is not a parent? She already lost out on Franco [Roger Howarth] but then gained Silas. At least she won’t lose Silas since he’s the baby-daddy either way. What a tangled web…
