‘General Hospital’ Spoilers, July 30: GH Excitement Peaks As Nina’s Allies Grow, Mob War Escalates, Scott Investigates Nikolas

Plotting in Port Charles reaches an all-time high today! Here are some juicy ‘General Hospital’ spoilers for Thursday, July 30.

Liz Webber’s [Rebecca Herbst] plot to keep Jake Doe [Billy Miller] all to herself is coming to a swift end. Laura Spencer [Genie Francis] drops by and tells Jake he looks familiar and asks if they’ve met, all while giving Liz the knowing evil eye. Laura wants to know why Liz is lying to Jake about who he is and how she can keep Jake Spencer [James Nigbor] from knowing his biological father.

Also embroiled in a major plot are Madeline Reeves [Donna Mills] and Ric Lansing [Rick Hearst]. Ric takes Nina Clay [Michelle Stafford] somewhere unpleasant to advance their gaslighting scheme. Ric has to get her away from where Franco [Roger Howarth] can help her. Meanwhile Franco confronts Madeline about the scheme and is close to figuring out their plans. Franco is ready to play hero.

Franco also has a plot going with Ava Jerome [Maura West] to get her evidence from his dad and get Nina back to him. But Silas Clay [Michael Easton] is an unhappy third wheel to their shenanigans. Silas is furious that Ava is cheating with Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig] which will crush Kiki Jerome [Hayley Erin] when she finds out – and she will.

Silas threatens to tell Kiki about them cheating and they will have to grovel to stop him. Nina also will want to talk to Silas about what he knows about the baby Avery kidnapping if she can get away from Ric long enough to chat him up. Franco, Silas and Nathan West [Ryan Paevey] will all be Nina’s advocates to extricate her from this mess.

Someone is plotting against Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] – his syndicate is attacked again and now Sonny is hopping mad. He’s ready to reach out to some other mob sources to find out who’s going up against him. Is it Ava taking over Jerome territory? Is it Brad Cooper’s [Parry Shen] mobster bio-family? Are the Zaccharas back? Rumors has it Johnny Zacchara [Brandon Barash] could return.

And Nikolas Cassadine’s [Tyler Christopher] plotting has finally caught the attention of law enforcement. Scotty Baldwin [Kin Shriner] interrogates Prince Nik about how he got the shares of ELQ to take it over and whether he broke any laws to do so. Of course he did, but will Scotty be able to prove anything? Doubtful – Nik has too much influence at city hall.

Also, there are some comings and goings. Remember there was a rumor of a major male character to be killed off – it’s Silas! Michael Easton has filmed his final scenes and is already off the ABC lot. Looks like it could be Ava that takes him out if he keeps pushing about blabbing the secret of her identity. After all, Silas is the only one, aside from Franco who knows Ava’s dirty secret.

And Kristina Corinthos [Lexi Ainsworth] is back in Port Charles. There’s been talk of a character return and the college age daughter of Sonny and Alexis Davis [Nancy Lee Grahn] is the winner. Should be interesting. Last time we saw Kristina, she was really a handful. Remember that mob princess reality show? Should be interesting to see what trouble she gets into this time.

Finally, Teresa Castillo [Sabrina Santiago] is preggers – you may have noticed she’s been wearing floppy clothes, sitting a lot and holding throw pillows on her lap. But will showrunners write the baby into the show? Could Sabrina be carrying Michael Quartermaine’s [Chad Duell] baby? Or is there a chance it could be the child of the recently deceased Carlos Rivera [Jeffrey Vincent Parise]?
