‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Is Sonny Headed Back to Pentonville and What’s Killing Ava? #GH

Today was a big day on ‘General Hospital.’ By my count there were four major revelations that left us with four major cliff hangers. Let’s take a look at these and then reveal some spoilers about what we can expect next week.

First there’s the baby Avery situation. As expected, Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] doesn’t want to hand his daughter over to Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] no matter what the court said. So Sonny lied to buy time then asked Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig] to spirit Avery away to Sonny’s private island. Morgan agrees but has Sonny really considered that he’s asking Morgan to bring federal, state and international laws to do this.

Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] tries to talk sense to Sonny but he won’t have it. Will Morgan make it out of New York with Avery? Will Kiki Jerome [Hayley Erin} go along with him? My money is on them not making it out of the state. Michael does have resources after all. And GH spoilers indicate that Sonny will be thrown in jail by Judge Walters for this shenanigan – this could cost Sonny custody for good!

Now on to big issue number two – the kidnapping convo went down moments after Silas Clay [Michael Easton] talked Ava Jerome [Maura West] from running off with baby Avery. Silas talked sense to her about not being able to be healing from a gunshot, fall and on the run from the law with a baby in tow. But that was just to get Ava away from her mom and without Avery. Silas orchestrated that so he could bring her back to the hospital and break the news to Ava that she’s dying. What???

Yep, Ava is dying. Sonny should be thrilled… But what is doing her in? There are a number of rumors flying as to what could be killing Ava. First it could be some sort of internal damage from the fall off the bridge. Or it could be a dire infection from being shot by Carlos Rivera [Jeffrey Vincent Parise]. Or it could be complications from her troubled birth with baby Avery. Or, and this is a fun one remote possibility, could she have picked up a flesh eating virus in the river? It happens. Or, more likely, when Silas was treating Ava, did he find cancer somewhere that’s so far gone it’s inoperable? Stay tuned.

The third major happening on today’s show was Franco’s [Roger Howarth] attempt on Luke/Fluke’s [Anthony Geary] life. Nina Clay [Michelle Stafford] got Franco to cease trying to suffocate Luke and then Luke made Franco an offer he couldn’t refuse. Those three nutters are now plotting to get out of Shadybrook and then have some fun. How much havoc will they wreak if they get loose? Luke has already threatened Dante Falconeri [Dominic Zamprogna] that he’ll come after Dante and Lulu once he gets loose, so there’s a possibility. Luke may also go terrorize Tracy Quartermaine [Jane Elliot].

And the fourth crucial point is also Fluke-adjacent. Just when Nathan West [Ryan Paevey] was about to pummel Damien Spinelli [Bradford Anderson] for smooching on Maxie Jones [Kirsten Storms], his hacker program beeped and the Jackal said he just made huge progress in the Spencer family history project. But he won’t tell Nathan what’s up. Next week, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal that Damien will go tell Tracy Q that he’s located Patricia Spencer!

And guess who’ll be playing big Spencer sister Pat? ‘General Hospital’ casting news leaked that Dee Wallace landed this juicy role. You may remember Dee from her role as Elliot’s mom in 80s mega-hit E.T. She also played rabid dog attack survivor Donna Trenton in Cujo. Dee has had a steady career and most recently did a stint on supernatural hit show Grimm. I’m very excited they got someone this well known and talented to play Pat. This means that we can finally get to the bottom of Luke’s DID mystery and exactly what went on in the basement of the house on Elm Street. Can’t wait!
