‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers Week Of September 8-11: Jake Saves Sonny and TJ, Kristina Arrives At Hospital, Morgan Threatens Someone

Is Sonny dead and the wedding off? Here are the answers you need in a week of ‘General Hospital’ spoilers for Tuesday, September 8th through Friday, September 11th episodes. The Labor Day Monday show is a repeat!

First, let’s clear it up. Of course Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] won’t die, but it’s not pretty. A mystery mobster shot him – definitely not Julian Jerome [William deVry] – and TJ Ashford [Tequan Richmond] is screaming for help. Poor henchman Charlie is scared witless and he’s no help. Fortunately, Jake Doe [Billy Miller] was nearby and heard the shot. Jake will come and rescue Sonny like he’s done so many times before – and will also save TJ.

Oblivious to the danger Sonny is in, everyone else hangs out at Casa Corinthos. Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] chats with her son Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig] about his possible bipolar disorder. Morgan seems in a better place about it and Carly is pleased that he’s open to getting a diagnosis and seeking treatment. It helps that Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] is there supporting Morgan. Carly is pleased – until she gets the call with the bad news – will it be Jake that phones her?

Valerie Spencer [Brytni Sarpi] doesn’t seem herself and her Aunt Bobbie Spencer [Jaclyn Zeman] notices. They talk, but will Valerie reveal what’s up? Is there any chance that Valerie would confide in her about the affair with Dante Falconeri [Dominic Zamprogna] or her suspicions that she might be pregnant? The detente between Valerie and Lulu Spencer [Emme Rylan] will not last long at this rate. We’ll see…

Sonny will be taken to the hospital where a number of things happen. Carly and Sonny will likely get married at GH but then reschedule a reception and renewal for sometime later. Kristina Corinthos Davis [Lexi Ainsworth] will show up at the hospital to comfort her injured dad and Ric Lansing [Rick Hearst] will make a big messy scene. Will Ric go at Julian Jerome [William deVry] or is someone else the target of lunatic Ric – maybe Franco [Roger Howarth]?

Morgan also goes off the rails this week and threatens someone with harm – likely he thinks Julian is the one responsible for Sonny’s shooting – although Julian is not the trigger-happy culprit. The shooting, Jake’s finely tuned response to protect Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] and rush to save Sonny triggers some repressed memories in Jake. He discusses these with two of the women in his life – Sam and Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst].

With Sam, she honestly tries to figure out what Jake remembered and helps him try to put the pieces together. With Liz, though, she knows right away the context of what Jake remembered and tries to send him off in a random direction away from the truth. Liz knows that if Jake puts these pieces together, it will all come crashing down, he’ll remember his identity and then know about her betrayal. Liz tries to stop that at all costs.

Also recovering memories is Hayden Barnes [Rebecca Budig] and she pushes on Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] about what they mean. The lies Nik is telling her don’t jive with her scattered recollections and she tells him so. Nikolas continues to skip around the truth but for now, isn’t thinking about putting another bullet in her head. For now… Also this week, Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] makes a big decision about his future in Port Charles.

Related to Nikolas, Anna Devane [Finola Hughes] isn’t happy to hear that Sloane did not do as promised to provide evidence that Nik was involved in the election tampering. Anna presses him but Sloane has financial interests to protect with Nik – and later will remind Nikolas of this. Anna and Sloane have a change of relationship status and Nikolas may start to think that it’s not good to have Sloane hanging around given all that he knows about Nik’s dirty secrets.

Sloane also reminds Anna of the secrets of hers he’s keeping – her killing Carlos Rivera [Jeffrey Vincent Parise] in cold blood. Later, Jordan Ashford [Vinessa Antoine] will tell Anna that TJ was hurt, just as she worried about, as a result of being around Sonny. She tells Anna that her son was kidnapped and saw Sonny shot and now she’s worried TJ will continue to be a target. They wonder who shot Sonny and the growing mob violence. When will the new player be revealed?

At the PCPD, Julian will visit sister Ava Jerome [Maura West] and they talk about the child they each lost. He lost baby Leo to death (as far as he knows) and Ava has now lost baby Avery to Carly who will be her new mom. The Jerome siblings bond over their sorrow. Julian also has to insist over and over that he’s not in the mob and not involved in this latest round of violence. Julian will have to explain to Jordan that he didn’t take her son and didn’t shoot Sonny. Will anyone believe him?
