‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers Thurs, September 10: Dante Punches Julian, Morgan Vows To Kill – Jake Shares Jason Morgan Memories With Sam

Thursday’s show is mostly about Sonny’s fight for life and the Corinthos family closing ranks – here are some ‘General Hospital’ spoilers to get you ready for the September 10 episode.

First, did you notice that Julian Jerome [William deVry] told Ava Jerome [Maura West] that he’s convinced Diane Miller [Carolyn Hennessy] to be her lawyer since Alexis Davis [Nancy Lee Grahn] can’t do it because of a conflict of interest? Woo hoo! Diane is back! Can’t wait to see her on the screen. I love that the new writers have brought back such a great character – hope she gets to stick around.

Second, oblivious to the drama going on over at GH, Tracy Quartermaine [Jane Elliot] chats up her ex Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] about his marital status. Paul is still married to Jenny Eckert and Tracy wants to know if he’s going to stay married. Paul has to mull it over but then decides he’s ready to split with Jenny. We can expect Jenny Eckert in town soon to discuss the state of their relationship.

Also today, Lulu Spencer [Emme Rylan] will call her mother-in-law Olivia Falconeri [Lisa LoCicero] to break the news that Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] has been shot and may not make it. Olivia believes, from her recent conversation with Sonny, that Julian could be responsible. Olivia will want to have a talk with Julian about his possible involvement. The line to confront Julian forms to the left…

First in that line is Dante Falconeri [Dominic Zamprogna]. Dante runs into Julian as he’s leaving the PCPD lock up after his visit with Ava. Dante slams Julian into a chair and accuses him of having his dad shot. Julian protest his innocence but Dante can’t see clearly – he’s blinded by grief and the possibility his father is dying. Dante punches Julian and has to be pulled off of him.

If Julian presses charges, Dante could find himself in big trouble – maybe to the extent he has to turn in his badge. That would make for an interesting story line twist. The other cops pull Dante off of Julian.

Also at the PCPD is TJ Ashford [Tequan Richmond]. Jordan Ashford [Vinessa Antoine] is furious that TJ could have been harmed but TJ defends Sonny. The mobster is like a father to him now.

Jordan demands he stay away from Sonny, but TJ shuts her down. He wants nothing more than to get to GH and be with the rest of the Corinthos family that he now feels like he’s part of. And next in line to go after Julian will be Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig]. A distraught Morgan vows to his near-death daddy Sonny that he will personally kill Julian for this.

Morgan is off the rails and in a manic bipolar state. Will someone talk him down before he goes and kills someone? Since they’re already at GH, will Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] make a move to commit Morgan for his own safety so he doesn’t commit murder? Carly has a lot to deal with already. Patrick Drake [Jason Thompson] gives the family an update on Sonny’s condition.

Carly thinks Patrick is bringing good news but then he clarifies that things are bad and they could lose Sonny, but he’s doing all he can. Ric Lansing [Rick Hearst], one of Carly’s least favorite people, shows up and makes a major ass of himself at the hospital. Carly doesn’t want Ric there and if any of them find out that Ric orchestrated Charlie’s release which led to Sonny’s shooting, it won’t go well for Ric.

Ric knows he could be partially responsible for his brother’s shooting by convincing Mayor Lomax to let Charlie go because they were both sure they would be entrapping Julian. But Julian isn’t the shooter nor did he order the shooting – but odds are Julian knows who did it. He was down on the docks right before all this sh*t went down – Ava mentioned that for a reason…

And the Corinthos family all has to acknowledge that Sonny would be dead now if not for Jake Doe [Billy Miller] but he’s a modest guy and tries to dismiss the attention. Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] tells him he acted like a killing machine when he took out all those guys and that has Jake worried about his past and why he has all these deadly skills.

Jake will recover some memories once the attention calms down and he shares with Sam what he’s seeing. Sam will try to help him sort out what the memories mean but neither yet has realized that Jake is Jason. Looks like only Sonny has figured that out, but he may not remember this revelation once he wakes up from his coma. (Please don’t let Sonny have amnesia…)

Don’t look for a miraculous Sonny recovery today – there will be many days to come of this medical crisis during which time the Corinthos family will close ranks and bond over the tragedy. This includes Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell]. Even though Dante is the eldest son, not Michael, look for Michael to step up in a big way with the Corinthos family.
