‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers Mon, September 14: Sonny Flat Lines, Morgan Puts Himself In Danger, Kristina Shows Up

Sonny flat lines and Ric is on the ropes on Monday’s GH – read these ‘General Hospital’ spoilers for the September 14 episode.

Nina Clay [Michelle Stafford] is out of jail and has big plans on how to best use her freedom. Now that Franco [Roger Howarth] revealed to her that her horrible hubby Ric Lansing [Rick Hearst] was gas lighting her, Nina and Franco have major revenge plans. The two loons are in love and want to be together, so that means Nina needs to get loose of her hubby.

Ric is none too pleased to find Nina and Franco waiting for him and even less pleased once Nina tells him she’s dumping him. She shuts down the marriage and his efforts to get her millions. But that’s not all that they have planned for Ric. There are some rumors that Nina and Franco will humiliate Ric personally and professionally. They could steal evidence from the DA…

Maxie Jones [Kirsten Storms] hears from Nathan West [Ryan Paevey] that Nina and Franco are on the loose. They wonder what will happen and Nathan worries about his sister. They are also concerned about Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] but more worried about the effects of his shooting on Lulu Spencer [Emme Rylan] and Dante Falconeri [Dominic Zamprogna].

Dante left the PCPD after his hitting Julian Jerome [William deVry] and heads to GH. He’s there in time to hear Patrick Drake [Jason Thompson] update the family – he says Sonny needs life-saving surgery but then also says Sonny’s odds of surviving the operation are grim and, if he does make it, Sonny may be paralyzed because the bullet is so close to his spine.

With this bad news on his mind, Dante steps in to see the unconscious Sonny. Dante is upset and chews his dad out for putting himself in this position. Dante says it’s not Julian’s fault, but Sonny’s himself because he was the one who wouldn’t stop doing mob business. Dante tells the ailing Sonny that baby Avery will be fatherless because of his recklessness.

At this point, Sonny starts to flat line and the monitors go off and Dante worries that his ranting sent his dad into a spiral. Also spiraling is Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig]. Morgan vowed to his dad that he would kill Julian, but Julian isn’t responsible for Sonny’s shooting – they just can’t see that – and Morgan is going to put himself in danger messing with mob stuff.

Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst] chats with Jake Doe [Billy Miller] who is shaken up by the incident with Sonny. Liz seems like she’s ready to tell Jake the truth so he’ll know why he did what he did and why he’s so skilled and deadly. But they are interrupted by the kids and Liz will back pedal and remind herself she’ll likely lose Jake if she comes clean about her lies.

Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] tries to get Morgan under control and has to help Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] decide whether to sign off on the surgery. Michael promises he won’t leave her side and she can count on his ongoing support throughout this ordeal. Carly is relieved. Also, Kristina Corinthos [Lexi Ainsworth] should show up soon to check on her near-death dad.
