‘General Hospital’ Spoilers, August 4: Hayden Faking Amnesia, Sonny Meets Mob Families, Carly Blasts Denise

Nothing says love like murder on Tuesday’s GH – here are some ‘General Hospital’ spoilers for the August 4th episode…

Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig] tells his father that he and Denise DeMuccio [Maura West] are more than just a casual shag. Morgan is so serious about Denise that it’s likely he committed murder to protect her. Love also means protecting the one you care about from an accusation of murder – and that’s exactly what Franco [Roger Howarth] is doing for Nina Clay [Michelle Stafford].

Franco can’t throw stones when it comes to murder anyway, but he’s put his faith in Nina’s innocence and will cover for her at all costs. Too bad Kiki Jerome [Hayley Erin] showed up. Now Franco has to keep Kiki from figuring out that he and Nina were in Silas Clay’s [Michael Easton] and know that her dad is dead. Can Franco keep her from the grisly discovery at least for a while?

Also on the subject of murder – this time with no love lost – Hayden Barnes [Rebecca Budig] woke from her near miss with mortality and it seems like she’s faking partial amnesia. Does Hayden realize that Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] tried to off her so she’s playing coy and hoping he won’t finish her off? Something Hayden says to Patrick Drake [Jason Thompson] will lead him to a decision.

Meanwhile Felix DuBois [Marc Samuel] thinks that Brad Cooper [Parry Shen] is making a huge mistake with Lucas Jones [Ryan Carnes] by not explaining himself better and talking through the whole “whoops, I have a wife” thing. Can Port Charles’ sexiest (and only) gay couple work it out so we can yet see them walk down the aisle? Fingers crossed. Wonder if the wife is coming to town? Fun!

Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] is off to meet the other heads of the mob families to find out what is going on and who is making a move on his syndicate. Is there a new mobster in Port Charles? Or is there an old one getting thirsty? Could Julian Jerome [William deVry] be the culprit despite his protests? Or is Johnny Zacchara [Brandon Barash] back in town?

While Sonny tries to sort out his mob problems, Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] tries to sort out the mess her youngest son has gotten himself into. Carly confronts Denise about shagging her son and causing trouble. Will Carly also ask Denise – and maybe Julian – about the mob activity? And will Denise admit that they got caught by Silas? No matter what, this will not be a pleasant conversation.

We know Ric Lansing [Rick Hearst] is mean enough to commit murder, but this time he just had his wife committed to Shadybrook. Too bad things aren’t going according to his plan with Madeline Reeves [Donna Mills]. Both Franco and Nathan West [Ryan Paevey] are throwing roadblocks up in their way. Nathan heads to the nut house to chat up his sister.

Nathan tells her he thinks Ric is plotting against her, but will Nina be so distracted with Silas’ murder that she doesn’t take in what Nathan is saying? And will Nina refuse to leave with Nathan since she knows she needs an alibi for Silas’ murder? Nathan will keep digging into what Ric is up to until he rescues his sister – look for him to team up with Franco again too.

After Laura Spencer [Genie Francis] takes off, Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst] has some questions for Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] about Hayden’s shooting. Nik will come clean – he seems to be taking a lot of joy these days in telling people the awful truth about what he’s been up to. Did Helena Cassadine [Constance Towers] slips a mind control chip into Prince Nik too? He’s gone nuts.
