“The Young and the Restless” star, and former “General Hospital” star, Tristan Rogers took to Twitter to tell his followers how he felt about Ron Carlivati departure as the head writer for “GH.” After all; it was reported on Aug. 10 that Maurice Benard was not shy about voicing how he felt about the former head writer’s firing. Rogers’s fans thought that he would be happy about Carlivati’s departure, but he seemed almost upset. He said that if it wasn’t for Ron Carlivati, there would be no show to talk about anymore. He implied that Carlivati saved “General Hospital.”

His reaction had his fans scratching their heads. He left the impression two years ago that he left “General Hospital” because he didn’t want to work with Ron Carlivati anymore. Now, two years later, he praised him on Twitter for being “GH’s” savior. It seems pretty odd, to say the least.

Fans replied to his tweet by telling him how they felt about Carlivati’s writing. Generally, the fans felt that Ron Carlivati didn’t save the show. Instead, he may have just kept the show on life support, so to speak. Many long-time viewers said they don’t recognize any of the characters anymore. And, losing Michael Easton and Anthony Geary was a huge loss for the show. Fans also expressed disappointment in Carlivati bringing back Nina Clay and Jason Morgan.

Tristan Roger’s stood by his statement, telling his fans he isn’t going to discuss it further, after one follower kept trying to trap him in an argument. The fan, known on Twitter, told Rogers that in 2012, there were better candidates for the head writer. He felt they should have hired someone else, not Ron Carlivati. Rogers’ position was it is the past, and he is looking to the future.

Tristan Rogers and his fans both agreed on one fact; they wished Rogers’ was back on the set of “General Hospital.” Tristan received an outpouring of support from his fans who said they are sad he hasn’t returned, yet. They are still holding on to the thought that maybe Robert Scorpio will return to Port Charles sometime soon.

Are you surprised by Tristan Rogers’ support of Ron Carlivati? Do you think Ron Carlivati saved the show or kept it barely alive?
