The latest “General Hospital” news reveals that fans of Ava Jerome (Maura West) can rest easy. It seems Maura West will be sticking around. West recently participated in an “Ask GH” live tweet and it caused some confusion for several “General Hospital” watchers. When the Twitter chat was over, West decided to thank her fellow tweeters for the good time. West tweeted “Most excellent GH fans: Thanks for watching with me…hanging out and playing!” West then added “Let’s do it again someday!”
Some “General Hospital” fans read the tweet out of context and were convinced that their beloved Ava was on her way out. However, Maura West was clearly just indicating that she enjoyed having some fun with GH viewers and she hoped she could take part in another live tweet in the future. So far there’s been no official news of West’s departure and “General Hospital” spoilers say that we’ll see plenty more scenes with Ava. It looks like this was one instance where a few paranoid fans got a little carried away. Fortunately, the rumors were false and it appears life will go on for Ava.
Buzzcast recently tweeted that March marked Maura West’s 20th anniversary on daytime television and they noted that she was “STILL a force to be reckoned” with. Longtime soap fans will remember that West also had popular roles on “As the World Turns” and “The Young and the Restless.” Now that everyone knows the so-called departure announcement was just a misunderstanding, maybe everyone will settle down a bit.
