‘General Hospital’ News: Laura Wright Named ‘GH’ Performer Of The Week For Role In Jason Morgan Reveal

“General Hospital” Laura Wright, who recently celebrated her ten-year anniversary on the ABC soap opera, was praised for her performance in the Jason Morgan [Billy Miller] reveal and Morgan Corthinos [Bryan Craig] bipolar disorder storyline. In each storyline, Wright ‘nailed it’ in her performance and securing her spot as one of greatest daytime actresses of all time.

Carly [Laura Wright] took the fans on a journey from the moment, she saw Jason’s face on Spinelli’s [Bradford Anderson] laptop. The color drained from her face as she realized; the man she had grown to love was Jason Morgan. “Jake is Jason,” Carly said questioning herself.

At first, she didn’t want to get her hopes up, because she felt that husband, Sonny [Maurice Benard] needed Jason in his life. When the DNA test proved that he was Jason Morgan, she was armed with the truth that Jake and Jason are one in the same. She was bound to reveal the truth to her best friend, and hoped he would accept the answers she can provide about his identity.

Carly felt shocked and excited that Jason was alive after all this time. She wanted Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] to know that her husband was not dead. Her biggest concern was stopping Jason’s wedding to Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst]. One of the most emotional scenes in the Jason reveal was when she told Jason, “Everything has been hard without you here. However, you are here now, Jason Morgan.”

Another powerful performance by Wright was last week when Morgan was spiraling out of control after he learned Kiki [Hayley Erin] could face jail time for the car accident that could have fatally injured Carly. During the middle of a manic episode, she was not scared of him, even though he was armed with a shotgun. She went in momma bear mode, held her son and told him she was taking him to be seen at the hospital for his own good [and his safety and well-being]. She told the police not to press charges against Kiki [even though she hit her car, which could have killed her].

Laura Wright celebrated her ten-year anniversary recently. She proved the reason she has stuck around all these years. She continues to deliver powerful performances and leaves her fans in awe of her raw talent.
