‘General Hospital’ News: Jonathan Jackson returns to GH As Lucky Spencer

Jonathan Jackson, currently known for playing the role of Avery Barkley in the ABC prime time drama Nashville will be returning to the ABC Daytime soap opera which gave him his start in the entertain my industry, “General Hospital”. Jackson, who plays Lucky Spencer, in General Hospital has earned himself five Emmy Awards on GH before assuming his role on Nashville, and now, it has been confirmed that he will return to GH this summer.

Jackson will reprise his role as Lucky Spencer, along with Nathan Parsons, who plays Ethan Lovett, are both returning to the show which gave jump started their acting careers. Jonathan Jackson and Nathan Parsons are returning to General Hospital to say goodbye to their onscreen father, Luke Spencer, played by Anthony Geary. As you know, Anthony Geary will be leaving the show after being such a crucial and instrumental part for 37 years.

According to Entertainment Weekly, both Jackson and Parsons have been booked to appear for a short arc on General Hospital. That means we get to see them for more than just the farewell episode.

In a recent trailer promoting the summer season of General Hospital, we get a glimpse into the lives of our favorite characters in Port Charles. If you watch the trailer and try not to blink you can notice there is a reunion between Lucky and Elizabeth, played by Rebecca Herbst. In the trailer, Elizabeth opens the door and Lucky is standing there waiting for her. We cannot wait to see what happens when these two meet face to face again.

The summer season of General Hospital will surely be one to watch. With the return of all of our favorite characters and the drama all leading up to Luke’s farewell episode, the excitement is almost all too much.
