‘General Hospital’ (GH) News: Julie Berman Lands Role on Primetime Drama ‘Chicago Med’ and Hulu Series ‘Casual!’

“General Hospital” alum Julie Berman has landed a recurring role on the new NBC primetime drama “Chicago Med.” The show is the latest spinoff of “Chicago Fire.” Julie Berman will portray Dr. Toni Zanetti.

Julie’s first appearance on the new drama will be in the third episode. “Chicago Med” premieres on Tuesday, November 17 at 9 pm EST/8 pm CST. Berman’s character is described as “a brilliant, self-assured attending surgeon who does not suffer fools.” Dr. Toni Zanetti will look sexy in scrubs and high heels and will turn heads wherever she goes.

But “Chicago Med” isn’t the only place you can find the ex- Lulu Spencer from “General Hospital.” Check out the original Hulu comedy series “Casual!” – new episodes air on Wednesdays. Julie Berman is scheduled to pop in for three episodes as the character Leia – and viewers get a chance to see the talented actress flex her comedic acting muscles. Julie Berman has kept very busy since leaving “General Hospital” in 2013. She guest-starred on the CBS comedy “Two and a Half Men” and most recently on the CW comedy “Jane the Virgin.”

It will be great to see the three-time Daytime Emmy Winner for Outstanding Younger Actress on primetime television. We hope that Dr. Toni Zanetti will prove to be such a popular character that TPTB will bump Julie Berman up from a recurring role to a contract role.
