‘General Hospital’ fans will recall, last we saw Madeline Reeves [Donna Mills], she was under arrest for the brutal knife slaying of Silas Clay [Michael Easton] and being carted off to Pentonville. This broke her daughter Nina Clay’s [Michelle Stafford] heart but, then again, Madeline was always a nightmare mother. In a drastic change of pace, Donna Mills will be playing a much better mom in a new holiday movie premiering on The Hallmark Channel on Thanksgiving Day – The 12 Gifts of Christmas.
Donna Mills will play Joyce Rehnquist, mother of Marc Rehnquist (portrayed by Aaron O’Connell). Marc is a busy and uptight corporate bigwig who hires out of work painter Anna Parisi [Katrina Law] – you might recognize her as Arrow’s Nyssa al Ghul – to be a personal holiday shopper for him. Anna teaches Marc a lesson that Christmas is not about how much you spend but the heart behind the holiday gifting.
Along the way, Anna and Marc get to know each other – and since it’s a Hallmark movie, you know romance is part of the picture. This is quite a departure for Mills whom we usually associate with more devious roles so it will be exciting to watch her as part of The Hallmark Channel’s holiday lineup. See the clip below for a look at the movie which looks romantic, fun and family-friendly. Donna Mills always looks so amazing and far younger than her 74 years.
With our favorite soaps not airing new content on Thanksgiving Thursday and Black Friday, the all-new holiday movie lineup at Hallmark can keep you stocked up on romance until soaps return on Monday, November 30th! The 12 Gifts of Christmas airs Thanksgiving night at 8 pm on The Hallmark Channel.
