‘General Hospital’ (GH) News: Brandon Barash’s New Movie ‘The Unauthorized Melrose Place Story’ Airs On Lifetime Tonight

Don’t miss the premiere of Brandon Barash’s new movie tonight!  When we learned Lifetime was rebooting one of our favorite sudsters, “Melrose Place,” for “The Unauthorized Melrose Place Story,” we were thrilled beyond belief.  But, when we heard GH alum Brandon Barash was starring in the new movie – we literally couldn’t contain our excitement.  Seriously, we set our DVR’s weeks ago.

Brandon Barash signed on to “The Unauthorized Melrose Place Story” to play the part of Dr. Michael Mancini.  The role was originally played by hunky actor Thomas Calabro when the 90’s primetime soap opera was on the air.  “The Unauthorized Melrose Place Story” actually chronicled all of the drama that went on off the air during “Melrose Place’s” reign, Lifetime did similar formats with their unauthorized movies based on “Saved By The Bell,” and “Beverly Hills 90210.”

For those of you who don’t remember Brandon Barash on “General Hospital” (how could you not though?), he has played the part of Johnny Zacchara off and on.  He recently returned to Port Charles in 2014 to resurrect that character again.  Even when Johnny Zacchara isn’t on the air, Brandon Barash is a mainstay on the set of the ABC soap opera because he is married to Maxie’s portrayer Kristen Storms.
