‘General Hospital’ News: GH Alum Jon Lindstrom Joins Cast of Recovery Road

You may know actor Jon Lindstrom from his days on “General Hospital” and the spin-off Port Charles as Kevin Collins, but now the actor is getting ready to gear up for his next project.

Soap Opera Digest has recently reported that in addition to appearing in HBO’s new and upcoming season of True Detective, Lindstrom has also recently been casted as for a test star role on the new ABC Family’ series Recovery Road.

Lindstrom will play the role of William, who is described as “a mature and confident counselor,” in the new series. Recovery Road is based on the young adult novel authored by Blake Nelson, and focuses on a teenage girl dealing with a substance abuse problem.

ABC Family executive vp of programming and development spoke with The Hollywood Reporter and said, “ABC Family is best known for it’s ground-breaking original series and Recover Road is right in our wheel-house. This series will explore relevant social issues for our audience and shine a light on addiction. It’s a powerful addition to our lineup and the strong, authentic characters are sure to resonate with our audience.”

Recover Road will join the likes of other original scripted series on ABC Family including The Fosters, Melissa & Joey, Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, Chasing Life, Baby Daddy, Young & Hungry, and the Stitchers.

If you would like to see Jon Lindstrom guest star as a counselor at the rehab facility in which Recovery Road will take place, be sure to tune into ABC Family and check out the new series when it premieres sometime in 2016.
