‘General Hospital’ News: 7 Reasons Laura Spencer And Scotty Baldwin Deserve Another Shot At Love Together

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that Laura Spencer [Genie Francis] will get a juicy new storyline soon and one possibility that has been mentioned is a new romance. There are also GH spoilers that hint at an increased storyline for Scotty Baldwin [Kin Shriner].

What do you think GH fans? Would you like to see Scotty and Laura get another shot at love? Do you think GH showrunners will renew this legacy romance? Here’s why we think Scotty and Laura deserve another chance.

#1 They’re older and wiser – Both Laura and Scotty have lived full lives and had ups and downs so maybe they’ll make fewer mistakes this go round. And returning to their first love might be welcome for these two that have been unlucky in other tries at love in recent years.

#2 They never got closure – Scotty has loved Laura for so long and has done so much to show this, even though a lot of it what he did bordered on the stalkerish. Obviously, Scotty still loves her and Laura cares for him too otherwise she wouldn’t keep going back to him.

#3 They finally have Luke out of the way – Luke has been a major obstacle for most of their relationship so now with him finally gone, perhaps Scotty and Laura can get their happily ever after since it obviously wasn’t in the cards for Laura to end up with Luke.

#4 They both have evil offspring – It can be hard to explain to a new BF or GF that your kid happens to be a killer, but since both have murderous sons, it cuts that awkward conversation out. Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] and Franco [Roger Howarth] are both nuts, but they are used to it.

#5 They have both had children kidnapped – They both know the struggles of strange histories. Both have been married, divorced, killed, been threatened with death, and suffered trials such as having their children kidnapped. Those are ordeals not everyone would understand.

#6 They are both killers – Another conversation killer when you meet someone new is that you are literally a killer. But since both Laura and Scotty have killed before, and both know it, they don’t have to make the uncomfortable revelation to a new potential lover.

#7 They still have chemistry – You can still tell when they look at each other that there is both affection and passion between them even after all these years. It would be nice to see these two share a revived relationship and explore the love that has been cut short many times before.
