“General Hospital” Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is ready to take down Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher and she’s going to do it with the help of Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco). Finola is excited about Anna and Sam working together – she really likes the dynamic between the two characters.
Right now Anna has to be careful of everything she says and does – one slip up and she could find herself behind bars. In the most recent issue of Soaps In Depth Finola Hughes talked about the burgeoning relationship between Anna and Sam. “Anna admires Sam and embraces her intelligence.” Sam is one of the best when it comes to investigative work and Devane may find in necessary to enlist Mrs. Morgan to help her figure out what really happened to Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise). “It’s possible that [Sam] could find out what happened to Carlos. It’s an interesting dynamic,” Finola says.
Anna and Sam have something in common – though they don’t know it yet. When Sam finds out that Jake is really her presumed dead husband Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) Anna can be a shoulder to lean on. Ms. Devane has been through that with her husband – and ex-husband – Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan).
But until the big reveal happens Anna and Sam have formed a bond – not only to find out what Nikolas is hiding – but because Sam is a mother figure to Anna’s granddaughter Emma Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer). “It’s hard for Anna to accept that. Yes, I do think so,” Finola says when speaking about how Sam has replaced Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) in Emma and Patrick Drake’s (Jason Thompson) lives. “But she does [accept it], because it’s the right thing for her granddaughter, and the right thing for her ex-son-in-law.
“GH” Fans are going to get to see more of Anna Devane and Sam Morgan working together. They have a common goal – bring down Nikolas. Before they know the duo will uncover even more and Port Charles will never be the same.
