‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers Week Of September 21-25: Michael Head Of Corinthos Family, Jake His Enforcer, Ric Fired, Sam Says YES!

In Port Charles this week, we’ll see two new mob leaders emerge plus baby news, medical drama and more. These ‘General Hospital’ spoilers will get you ready for the week ahead for the shows for September 21 thru September 25. Here you go!

New mob forces in Port Charles

Looks like the two new mob leaders in the city will both, interestingly, come out of the Quartermaine household. Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] will take over the Corinthos syndicate while Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] has to undergo rehabilitation to deal with the spinal issues associated with his shooting.

The second new mob leader revealed this week is Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] although he won’t come completely out of the shadows. Paul reveals himself to Ava Jerome [Maura West] and tells her he stole the flash drive from Scotty Baldwin [Kin Shriner] to keep her out of jail for good, but now she owes him. Paul has a job for Ava to do that she won’t like but will agree to.

Look like Paul has both the Jerome siblings under his thumb now and will continue his takeover of territory in Port Charles. If you didn’t watch in the early 90s and don’t know Paul’s background, you’ll be filled in this week. Maxie Jones [Kirsten Storms] asks Tracy Quartermaine [Jane Elliot] about her past with Paul and she shares the story to refresh the audience.

Baby news

Two baby mama dramas break loose this week. First, now that Ava is out of jail, she wants baby Avery back ASAP. Ava calls up Scotty Baldwin [Kin Shriner] and gets him to start a custody case against Sonny. Scotty is more than happy to help since he hates Sonny. Ava and Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] will have a major showdown over the baby.

Also, Olivia Falconeri [Lisa LoCicero] wants baby Leo with her but doesn’t want Julian Jerome [William deVry] to get his hands on him. Olivia reaches out to Tracy for help with a plan to bring Leo back safely to town. Tracy is in the know since the baby is with her son Ned Ashton [Wally Kurth] and Brook Lynn Ashton. More babies coming to town!

Shakeups at City Hall

Paul will leverage Mayor Lomax’s [Saidah Ekulona] affection for him and Ric Lansing’s [Rick Hearst] failure to prosecute Ava. Ric will be fired as DA and it looks like Paul could get the job. That would leave Paul running one of the mob families of Port Charles and with lots of influence at City Hall to protect his interests and ruin Sonny’s. Kind of an evil genius idea…

Alexis Davis [Nancy Lee Grahn] wants Paul to help figure out who the real mob culprit is in Port Charles. Pretty ironic she’s asking the guy responsible. When Paul isn’t busy enjoying the fruits of several months of plotting, he spends some quality father-son time with Dillon Quartermaine [Robert Palmer Watkins].

Corinthos in Crisis

Michael tells Jake Doe [Billy Miller] that he’s taking over his father’s business while he’s out of commission. Look for Jake to step up as is enforcer/head of security much like Jake did for Michael at ELQ – and much like Jason did for Sonny in the past. The first order of business is dealing with Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig].

Morgan holds Alexis and Julian at gunpoint seeking vengeance for Sonny’s shooting. Jake will extract Morgan from this dangerous situation. Michael and Carly want Morgan to seek treatment from Kevin Collins [Jon Lindstrom] but Morgan refuses even as his mental condition continues to deteriorate. Will they have to put Morgan on an involuntary psych hold?

Jake, Liz, Sam and Patrick

Patrick Drake [Jason Thompson] tells Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] all the reasons they should get married and she ponders the proposal. But bringing her down is that it’s her anniversary with Jason. Sam will run into Jake at the restaurant where she and Jason said their “I do’s” and they have a talk about fresh starts that convinces Sam to say yes to Patrick.

Patrick tells Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst] he proposed to Sam. Liz hears from Jake that he and Sam were bonding. Liz is upset but somewhat mollified when she and Jake decide on their wedding date. November, maybe? Liz tells Sonny he’s mistaken in thinking he heard Jason while he was injured. Also, Sam is hit up for a favor by her dad Julian.
