‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers Tuesday Sept 29: Sonny Has A Seizure, Sloane Threatens Nik, Sam Ready To Accept Proposal

Tuesday’s show has more mob madness and a medical crisis – these ‘General Hospital’ spoilers will get you ready for the September 29th episode of the ABC soap.

First, how was that for a wedding shocker? Was that a sign that Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] and Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] version 4 is not going to happen? Just as he was putting the ring on Carly’s finger, Sonny went into crisis. Turns out Sonny had a seizure. It is a result of the shooting and surgery and is bad, bad news that devastates Carly.

Is this when we find out Sonny may not walk again? He sure was recovering nicely, but today’s events will change everything and set Sonny on a very long road to recovery. He will not bounce back, will not be up and walking, and will not be in any shape to run the syndicate or take care of his daughter. If Carly presses to finish the wedding, Patrick Drake [Jason Thompson] will shut it down.

And if Sonny doesn’t have the strength to say I do, that will pave the way for Ava Jerome [Maura West] to swoop in and take baby Avery. Carly will not be able to handle Sonny’s medical crisis and the custody battle for Avery. Even if Ric Lansing [Rick Hearst] can stop the custody change over, there are no parents in the Corinthos household able to care for her. Looks like Ava has a good shot at custody.

Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] leaves the five families meeting and heads straight for his brother Dante Falconeri [Dominic Zamprogna] to give him an update on the shooting. Anna Devane [Finola Hughes] is there fresh off her angry confrontation with Julian Jerome [William deVry]. Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] is lurking nearby as well.

Michael breaks the news that Ava pointed the finger at Carlos Rivera [Jeffrey Vincent Parise] as the shooter. Paul is stunned to hear this because he told Ava to blame Julian. Anna is shocked to hear this because she knows that no way could Carlos have pulled the trigger since she murdered him in cold blood. But, of course, neither Anna nor Paul can raise any objections to the statement.

Paul may tell Dante to not take this at face value and continue his investigation. Anna will echo this sentiment as well and will wonder if Ava is covering for herself or Julian. Paul already told his mystery partner that, if Ava crosses him, she would feel his wrath. Of course, Ava will have a good story about why she did it that she’ll have ready to sell to Paul to cover for her not following instructions.

Ava comes home and tells Julian she saved his hide by naming Carlos as the shooter. Of course, she and Julian both think Carlos is out of town and on the lam, not dead. Ava fills Julian in on the five families meeting and tells him she’s running the family business to protect them all. Julian wonders who did the shooting and if it could have been Carlos – he doesn’t think it’s likely.

Julian may want to keep digging for the truth, but it’s in Ava’s best interests if he doesn’t so she will press him to enjoy being out of danger and to spend time with Alexis Davis [Nancy Lee Grahn] and his kids with the focus off of him and to not worry about it. Julian may play along for now, but we know he has Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] looking into this, so we’ll see what happens.

Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] and Hayden Barnes [Rebecca Budig] are out at the Floating Rib having dinner when Kyle Sloane [Robb Derringer] shows up to rant about wanting what he was promised. Sloane threatens Nik which doesn’t seem like a bright idea. Nik and Hayden talk about their volatile history and Nik wonders again if he can trust Hayden and how much she’s remembered.

Sam tells Jake Doe [Billy Miller] that the reaffirmation of vows helped her to put Jason behind her and say yes to Patrick. She decides she can’t keep waiting on him forever because even if he is alive, he’s not there with her and, if he is dead, he won’t ever come back. Patrick will be thrilled that Sam is ready to accept his proposal and move on.
