‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers Thursday Sept 24: Michael Tells Jake About Jason & Sonny -Julian Needs Sam’s Help – Ava Wants Avery, Paul Helps

It’s all about the mob on Thursday in Port Charles – these ‘General Hospital’ spoilers will tell you more about the September 24^th show.

Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] will be pulled into the mob mess today when Julian Jerome [William deVry] asks for her help. Julian tells her what went down with Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] and Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig] and says he needs the truth about the mob action to protect himself. Sam has no problem agreeing to help her dad – she doesn’t want to lose him too.

Loss is very much on Sam’s mind since it’s her anniversary with Jason. Sam is confident she’s the one who can help her dad get answers since she can approach the Corinthos family – and Jake – to discuss recent events without raising suspicion. Julian is worried about putting those he loves at risk – including Sam and Alexis Davis [Nancy Lee Grahn] if this situation keeps on escalating as it has been.

Alexis is also busy advocating for Julian. She’s gone to new DA Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] to push for the charges against Julian to be dropped. Paul will play along and act like he’s impressed with her legal savvy. It’s no good for Paul to have the Jerome organization under the microscope anyway. Alexis also pleads with Paul to step up and find out who’s behind the shooting and mob violence.

Paul has to be preening in his mind – I picture him rubbing his hands gleefully and thinking about how his perfectly evil plan has come together. He’s got the Jerome mob under his control, the PCPD and court under his reign, and has the good Quartermaine name shielding him from scrutiny. Plus Paul has Mayor Lomax [Saidah Ekulona] hot for him, so he’s the golden boy right now.

Speaking of Ava and Paul’s deal, did Paul rubber stamp Scotty Baldwin’s [Kin Shriner] custody request for Ava to get baby Avery back from Sonny? Ava sure seemed confident when she came to the hospital and demanded her baby. Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] will fight to keep her, but Carly has no legal standing and Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] is out of commission.

Could Sonny and Carly have an impromptu hospital wedding to try and block the custody change? And what about Ric Lansing [Rick Hearst] trying to shut down the custody change request? Was he too late and Scotty had filed first? Or did Paul ignore Ric’s request and approved Ava’s custody request so she would know she can trust him to keep his end of the bargain? This is a showdown not to miss.

Sonny will talk to Patrick Drake [Jason Thompson] about the after-effects from the shooting. Sonny isn’t certain how he lived through this event and Patrick explains to him what happened and how the swelling in his spine put him at risk. Will Patrick tell Sonny he may not walk again to give him a more vague “wait and see” diagnosis? Sonny needs intense physical therapy to get through this ordeal.

Michael and Jake Doe [Billy Miller] have a serious talk about Sonny. Jake tells him Sonny was in a drug haze but seemed certain he was Jason. Michael considers this and fills Jake in on how close Jason and Sonny were and how Jason saved Sonny’s life time and again. Jake’s brain is on fire today with suppressed memories triggered by Sonny being so sure he’s Jason plus his wedding anniversary.

Of course, Jake has no context so can’t connect the dots yet. Michael also tells Jake that he’s got to step up while his dad is out of commission to keep the business going and protect the family. Jake tells him that he’ll be there for him just like he was when Michael was running ELQ – business is business after all. Michael will take Jake up on the offer.
