‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers Friday, Sept 18: Mobsters, Mayhem, Murder, and Movie Action in Port Charles

On Friday, it’s mobsters, mayhem, murder, and movie action in Port Charles. Plus cake! Here’s some ‘General Hospital’ spoilers for the September 18 show.

First, the mobsters. Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] is awake and miraculously remembers what people were saying to him when he was unconscious prior to his surgery. Sonny recalls that Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig] whispered to him that he was going to make sure Julian Jerome [William deVry] pays for Sonny’s shooting.

This puts a scare into Sonny because he knows how fragile Morgan’s mental state is lately. Fortunately, super brother is there! Sonny tells Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] what Morgan said and Michael notices his off-the-rails brother isn’t nearby. Michael goes to talk to Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] who also notices that Morgan is nowhere to be seen. The family starts a search for the errant brother.

Now for a little mayhem. Scotty Baldwin [Kin Shriner] has gone rogue and stole the evidence against Ava Jerome [Maura West]. Scotty got her murder charges dismissed – at least for now – and then he’s ready to get the $5 million Ava promised him for the flash drive. The problem is, it looks like someone stole it! Scotty’s room at the MetroCourt is a wreck.

Scotty will quickly confirm that the evidence was stolen and they wonder who took it. Who even knew that Scotty had it? Is this the work of Julian? Could Franco [Roger Howarth] have robbed his dad’s room to try and help Ava out of nutty kindness? Ava will get a surprise visitor later who may have the flash drive in hand and could hand it over for free. But did Scotty make a copy?
How will Scotty handle being cut out of his payday if this is the way it goes down? And speaking of murder, Ava, Julian and Morgan may all be at risk. There are two persistent rumors that have been in the GH pipeline for months. One is that Ava and Franco will be injured in a shoot-out related to the mob wars and another that Morgan will be hospitalized. Some of this may come to fruition today.

Morgan is lurking outside Julian’s penthouse with gun in hand and murder on his mind. The problem is, Morgan doesn’t know what’s behind the door. What’s there is Julian who has a loaded handgun tucked into his tight jeans and Alexis Davis [Nancy Lee Grahn], Julian’s squeeze and baby mama to one of Sonny’s kids. When Morgan bursts in, things will go bad.

Will Julian take a shot at Morgan to protect Alexis? Will Ava show up to the penthouse at exactly the wrong time and take the bullet meant for Morgan? Will Ava herself have to shoot Morgan to save her brother? Looks like there’s a potential for bullets to fly at the Jerome penthouse and while there may not be a death, someone may get a ride to GH in an ambulance. But who will it be?

Now on to the movie action. Dillon Quartermaine’s [Robert Palmer Watkins] hits a snag in his movie production that he can’t overcome without help. Dillon and Maxie Jones [Kirsten Storms] talk to his parents Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] and Tracy Quartermaine [Jane Elliot] about the problem and then Paul calls in some favors to smooth the way for his son, further impressing Tracy.

Finally – the cake! Patrick Drake [Jason Thompson] is exhausted from surgery he performed to save Sonny’s life and is taken aback when he heads home and finds that his sweetie Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco], Anna Devane [Finola Hughes] and Emma Drake [Brooklyn Rae Silzer] have set up a surprise birthday party for him.

Patrick basks in the love of the women in his life and enjoys his cake. Later, Patrick shares a tender moment with Sam and tells her how much she loves him, is important to his life, etc., etc., etc. But then… Patrick surprises Sam. Is it a proposal? We’ve been waiting on him to ask her to be his wife, so will we finally see him ask the big question today?
