‘General Hospital’ (GH) RUMORS: Nikolas Cassadine and Hayden Barnes The Next Super Couple?

“General Hospital” rumors have taken off; it appears that Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) and Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) could be the next Port Charles super couple. Sure, Hayden was a con artist that arrived into town with the sole purpose to fool Jake (Billy Miller).And, Nik is a Russian prince that tried to kill her. It sounds like a match made in heaven, right?

Hayden first arrived in Port Charles in March. She claimed to be married to Jake Doe. She clearly was in need of a man’s company in some time because she tried to get every man in bed with her, even Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst). Ric brought her to Port Charles to fool Jake into thinking she was his wife. She took advantage of the fact that he couldn’t remember his identity.

Nikolas originally wanted to find out what Hayden knew about his grandmother, Helena (Constance Towers). At first, he thought his grandmother had hired her to pretend to be Jake’s wife. He had no idea that Ric was behind the whole scam. He knew that Jake was really Jason Morgan and was married to his cousin, Sam (Kelly Morocco). Even though he knew Hayden was a con artist, he found himself drawn to her.

At the Nurses’ Ball, Carly (Laura Wright) exposed Hayden for the con artist she was and brought down Ric in the process by revealing he was the mastermind behind the whole operation. Liz (Rebecca Herbst) dumped Ric right away, leaving Nik to reveal that Jake is really Jason Morgan to Liz. At first, fans figured that Liz would run to Jake with the news that she knows his true identity. She didn’t say one word.

Hayden and Liz both agreed on point; Jake has a right to know how he really is. He does have that right, but no one has his best interest at heart, yet. Liz tried to preserve her relationship with him. Nik and Hayden used the information as a way to stay close to each other.

Months ago, Nik ordered his men to kill Hayden. She survived but was in a coma for months. She woke up finally but doesn’t remember anything about her life- including her recent con artist ways. It is all building up to bring Nik and Hayden as the next super couple. Rebecca Budig recently signed a four-year contract. The show has big plans for her. Do you think she is in love with Nikolas?
