‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal there may be a chance for Ava Jerome [Maura West] and Morgan Corinthos [Bryan Craig] version 3.0. I’m so hoping this happens. As bad as these two are, they are so good together. Kiki Jerome [Hayley Erin] is off the rails and done with both of them – she’s made it clear that her mother and her ex-BF are out of her life, so why shouldn’t Ava and Morgan reunite?
Plus, Ava as a single mother could use some help and Morgan already loves her daughter since that’s his sister (twisted sort of thing, but true), so it’s a perfect pairing. And the chemistry between Morgan and Ava is off the charts. You can tell Ava is open to it by the way she was flirting with Morgan (yet saying she wasn’t) at The Floating Rib just before Kiki went off and through the drink in her mom’s face.

The benefits of this pairing for Ava
Getting back with Morgan makes lots of sense for Ava. First, she gets her sexy boy toy back to warm her bed. Second, he understands the mob life so he won’t hassle her about her criminal enterprise. Third, she can trust him to babysit Ava since he cares about his little sister. Third, he’s perpetually unemployed and shiftless so he’s got time to hang at Ava’s penthouse, sex her up and play manny (male nanny).
The benefits of this pairing for Morgan
If Morgan was smart (which he’s usually not), he would jump at the chance to get back with Ava to help out the Corinthos family. First, he can keep an eye on Avery and make sure she’s safe. Second, he can keep an eye on Ava and see if she’s making any moves on the Corinthos syndicate. Third, he can be there to protect Avery if anything dangerous goes down. Fourth, he can thwart Ava if he needs to.
Is it true love between Morgan and Ava? Or an addiction?
If you take the inappropriateness of Morgan and Ava’s relationship out of the equation – such as the fact that Morgan was her daughter Kiki’s BF, their decades of age difference, and how she manipulated him into her bed by hooking him on gambling – there seems to be genuine affection there. The two can’t keep their hands off each other, but it goes beyond sex. There is actual love there between them.
Will Morgan and Ava reconnect?
As far as I can see, there are few obstacles to the re-coupling. Morgan is angry now, but we know from soaps that fighting always leads to hot sex. Morgan offered himself to Ava instead of her taking Avery and she turned that down, but now that she has Avery, she’d also love to have Morgan. Plus Morgan is yet unmedicated for his bipolar which makes him prone to poor choices including hooking up with Ava.
The one hindrance that could block Ava from Morgan is Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi]. With Paul actively trying to crush the Corinthos cartel, he will not want his Jerome figurehead – Ava – bedding the son of the enemy. Also, Paul will not like Morgan hanging around the penthouse when he shows up to strategize with Ava and issue marching orders. Morgan would wonder why the DA was dropping by.

If Ava and Morgan heat up, Paul may order Ava to keep her hands off her boy toy, but that won’t work with Ava. If you tell her to go left, she makes a hard right just for spite. In fact, it could be Morgan’s romance with Ava that puts Paul’s master plan at risk – which means Morgan’s life, and perhaps Ava and Avery’s – could be at risk from the evil mob mastermind. This is one to watch!
