‘General Hospital’ (GH) Poll: Will Olivia Abandon Baby Leo to Keep Him Safe from Mobster Dad Julian?

Olivia Falconeri [Lisa LoCicero] is back in town and without her little baby Leo Falconeri. You’ll remember that Olivia and Ned Ashton [Wally Kurth] cooked up the plan to convince Julian Jerome [William deVry] that baby Leo had died. But now that Olivia is back, what will she do about Julian? Olivia was all ready to confess to Julian about the dead baby ruse when he was arrested.

That stopped Olivia in her tracks and she didn’t tell him. Alexis Davis [Nancy Lee Grahn] was suspicious that Olivia had more to say when she dropped by – and didn’t think that Olivia just came by to tell Julian the baby’s name. Alexis is tight with Ned who is helping hide the baby – along with his daughter Brook Lynn. Maybe Alexis will ring up Ned and hear a crying baby…

With Olivia convinced that Julian is back in the mob – thanks to Sonny Corinthos’ [Maurice Benard] info about the attacks on his syndicate – there’s no way she wants to bring Leo back into this. Even though Olivia has a good relationship with Sonny, she’s convinced that keeping Dante Falconeri [Dominic Zamprogna] away from him while growing up was the right thing to do.

Olivia knows how much damage was done to Sonny’s other kids that grew up close to him – Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] was shot plus Carly was kidnapped while delivering Morgan and Sonny shot her in the head. Olivia is 100% certain that growing up around the mob is not a good thing. Julian’s other kids grew up without him and that’s something Olivia has to think about as well.

Sam Morgan [Kelly Monaco] and Lucas Jones [Ryan Carnes] eventually turned out okay and they both have a good relationship with Julian now. Olivia can see them as a case study for the successful raising of a Jerome child without Julian involved. But to keep baby Leo safe from Julian, Olivia will have to choose between her infant son and her grown son and grandkid.

Olivia cannot stay in Port Charles with Leo. And Leo can’t be in Port Charles without Julian knowing about the baby. So what can she do? Olivia may have to do what Alexis did and make the sacrifice of giving up her baby. For now, Olivia will not decide anything and will leave little Leo with Ned which also helps explain why Ned is out of town (because Wally Kurth is back on DOOL).

But eventually this will all come to a head and, once Julian finds out about Olivia’s lies, he might even be able to win custody away from Olivia because of her fraud. Wouldn’t it be ironic if Olivia ended up behind bars rather than Julian and Julian ended up with little Leo? There doesn’t seem to be a good solution for Olivia – maybe she could have Dante “adopt” his little brother.

That way, Olivia could still see little Leo and Dante and Lulu Spencer [Emme Rylan] could keep the child safe. But that’s still a constructive abandonment. As long as Julian is alive and still mobbed up, it looks like Olivia will have no choice but to abandon her baby to someone else that can keep Leo safe. The real question is, who will get to keep the baby? Dante? Ned and Brook Lynn?
