With new writers running the show at GH, you have to expect cast shakeups – here are the latest ‘General Hospital’ spoilers on cast changes. Look for things to change in Port Charles starting soon!
Baby news
Two General Hospital actresses are pregnant which begs the question – will the pregnancies be written into the show? Nina Clay portrayer Michelle Stafford is expecting baby number two. Nina is recently married to Ric Lansing [Rick Hearst], but he’s busy shagging her mom Madeline Reeves [Donna Mills] and hasn’t consummated with Nina. That means it can’t be an evil Lansing offspring.
But since Nina and Franco [Roger Howarth] recently re-declared their love, he would be a great choice for a Nina baby daddy. Wouldn’t it be great to see those two nuts with a baby? Also pregnant is Sabrina Santiago actress Teresa Castillo. Sabrina is newly involved with Michael Quartermaine [Chad Duell] so it’s possible they could write in a new Q baby, but it’s awfully early in their relationship.
Also, Olivia Falconeri portrayer Lisa LoCicero is back on set with her new baby at her side. LoCicero is already shooting scenes after her summer-long maternity leave but it will be a few more weeks before we see her back on daily episodes. The only question is when Olivia will be caught out by Julian Jerome [William deVry] for her lie about their baby son dying.
Back on General Hospital
There have been rumors for months of a recast for a 20-something female for GH and now we know that it’s for the role of Kristina Corinthos-Davis. But rather than a recast, showrunners are bringing back the most recent actress, Lexi Ainsworth, to once again take on the role. Rumor has it that Kristina will be brattier than ever and cause all sorts of drama in Port Charles.
Hayden Barnes [Rebecca Budig] just woke up from her coma, which we all knew was coming, but what you may not have known is that producers have put Budig under contract and she’s in Port Charles for a while, no word yet on how long. Should be fun watching her spar with Nikolas Cassadine [Tyler Christopher] again.
Also due back in town, according to ‘General Hospital’ rumors, is Helena Cassadine [Constance Towers] who will have a short arc where we find out that Spencer Cassadine [Nicolas Bechtel] has been feeding his great-granny dirt on all the residents. Damien Spinelli [Bradford Anderson] is set to come back for the wedding of Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] and Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright].
Leaving General Hospital
Laura Spencer [Genie Francis] is gone from Port Charles for the summer but will return soon. The storyline is that she’s gone to visit Lucky Spencer [Jonathan Jackson] because she’s frustrated with Liz Webber [Rebecca Herbst] and Nikolas Cassadine’s [Tyler Christopher] lies about Jake Doe [Billy Miller]. Look for Laura to be back in the Fall to stay for a few months and possibly longer.
There are also persistent rumors that more cast members are slated for death. Most recently, we lost Silas Clay [Michael Easton], but there are ‘General Hospital’ rumors swirling that the escalating mob violence in Port Charles will claim at least two more lives. On the list of likely deaths are TJ Ashford [Tequan Richmond] due to his new proximity to mobster Sonny, living in the Corinthos house.
Also on the possible list of victims are Ava Jerome/Denise DeMuccio [Maura West] if Sonny finds out who she is or because she’s behind the Jerome takeover of Corinthos property. Franco [Roger Howarth] has also been mentioned as a potential victim of the mob war – he’s been tight with Ava and knows all her secrets so Franco being close to her (or betraying her) could see him dead.
It’s exciting to have new faces back in town, but sad to see others go. And it will be most interesting to see what the new co-head writers Jean Passanante and Shelly Altman will do with the revised cast.

Michelle Stafford isn’t pregnant…she has a surrogate…
A person would think, those who write the articles saying she is pg would actually look into it and see , yes she is expecting a child but through a surrogate, but no, sadly they don’t.
I agree that the writer should know (as most of us do) that Michelle is pregnant by a surrogate. Also that Lexi was not the last Kristina. Lexi was fired and another girl (older) played Kristina last.
Michelle Stafford is using a surrogate so she herself will not be pregnant. I never accepted the OLTL characters jumping on the GH ship. Seemed very silly. If Franco is next to go then so be it. The whole Franco/Scott Baldwin story line was just idiotic. TJ is a useless character. It has been rumored Maura West wants let go and let’s face it what else is there for her to do? Genie Francis, whom I love, comes and goes and I would love to know why. Her character has deep deep roots in PC and so much could be done with Laura. Spinelli coming back, really?? Either give him a story line or totally be done with it. Can’t wait for Olivia. Love her. Finally as for Billy Miller being Jason Morgan, NOT!! It’s so not working for me.

I so agree, I would have rather have had them to bring back scott’s other children instead….I know Karen is supposed to b dead, but what if she really wasn’t…that they dismissed all the stuff on pc…and I was long rumoured that serena would come back…so….that so would have been a lot better story to make then having franco his son…and all that junk..

Lexi Ainsworth was not the last actress to play Christina. Lexi was fired in 2011 and replaced with Lindsey Morgan, who played the role from 2012-2013. That was so easy for me to find, it’s a wonder that the writer didn’t do a bit more fact checking.
Silas’ death doesn’t have to be a dream. I think it’s John McBain, who came to see him on police business, that was a victim of mistaken identity. Or even a certain vampire who briefly rose from his grave again.
Hayley Erin needs to go. She does not have the range of acting skills or the experience to make the character of Kiki Jerome believable. She’s one of the worst actresses that I have ever seen on this show. I have watched since 1966 – 67 and understand that actors/actresses come and go. She definitely needs to go. Michelle Stafford also needs to go. She is not the right fit for the role of Nina Clay (a name from All My Children). She is too wooden and awkward. I thought maybe her character might grow on me but she has not made the character believable. Just the wrong actress for the character.
I agree about Haley Erin as Kiki. She needs to go.
Also I was a HUGE Michelle Stafford fan when she was O Y&R, I had high hopes for her on GH but it’s just not working for me.

Keep the Franco character on and Nina The are good together, however Tj, and Ava can go! Hayden can go too ! It’s just been too long for this Jason storyline come on it’s been over a year now why drag it out so long and as far as kiki I’m sorry but she’s not convincing enough and Morgan needs a better haircut don’t get me wrong I love Morgan and last but not least Laura can go too lucky and Luke’s other son didn’t stay long enough on the other hand, welcome back Olivia.
TJ treats his mother with such disrespect bc she has the nerve to be on the right side of the law. She gave Shawn a chance to get out free & clear & spend time with his son but he chose loyalty to Sonny instead of his family. TJ & Molly really have no chemistry together & barely ever seem them together. & they seem to have no friends their age. Molly needs someone to give her more interest. Though love Molly. & Ric together & they need more scenes together. So TJ can go it would give Molly a story with Ric. Ava I was beginning to love till she started blackmailing Silas after saving her life not to mention doing her daughter’s boyfriend. So Ava can also go. And as for Franco I loved him for a while but now the only thing he has to do is run around defending Nina. I would have love to see a Franco & Dr. O love story but seems not to be. I wish this dumb stuff didn’t happen with PP & we still had Todd John & Stsrr. So Franco can also go.

Absolutely. But Franco and Ava are great actors and they need to remain. Everyone is hating Ava because she is so great an actress and you are supposed to, but if Sonny can kill everyone and still be loved, then she can be redeemed as well. It seems women gangsters aren’t respected as much, but just like it’s time for Hillary, it’s time for Ava Gerome, lol.
If someone has to die, then let it be Ric or Liz. They are a useless waste of space. Roger Howarth and Michael Easton are two of the best actors around. Keep Howarth and let it be Caleb who was killed, with Silas sitting it out to see who did it and why. Or bring back John McBain. Something. Give them a good storyline and watch them shine.
Lexi was not the last Kristina. She was last portrayed by Lindsey Morgan. I do believe Lexi played Kristina best – she was bratty, yes, and she was a central character in a dating abuse storyline. Glad to see Lexi back.
Love Ava, she needs to stay, and they need to bring ME back for her. They have a lot of chemistry together. I love franco and Nina, so leave them alone. Bring Spinelli back for good this time, and put him with his daughter and maxi, and put Ellie with Nathan. TJ can go, never liked him anyway. Bring back kirsten as Kiki, and let the new one go. Hate Morgans new hair, so grow it back again. Love Billy Miller as Jason, but he needs to find out who he is, and get back with his wife. Elizabeth should be alone for awhile, and bring back Anna Devane.
Stop bringing Robin back.Morgan is gorgeous but ,unless he’s going to join the military,he needs to grow his hair back.
