‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Xander Is Victor’s Nephew – Really Alex, Son of Justin Kiriakis and Anjelica Deveraux?

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers hint that there’s much more to Xander’s (Paul Telfer) story than diamond smuggling. When Xander first came on the scene, his thick accent, good looks and charm made DOOL fans take notice. However, his first name is what really piqued everyone’s interest. Xander could be short for Alexander, which led many to believe that Xander Cook is actually Alexander “Alex” Kiriakis. Justin (Wally Kurth) had an affair with Anjelica Deveraux (last played by Judith Chapman) that resulted in Alex’s birth. When Xander showed up at Victor’s (John Aniston) mansion, he referred to Vic as his uncle, which seems to point to Xander being Alex. The idea that another member of the Kiriakis family has popped up is exciting news for most “Days of Our Lives” viewers.

Paul Telfer is nearly a decade older than Alex should be at this point, but that doesn’t mean much in the soap world. Age fudging happens all the time on “Days.” As for the name change, perhaps Alex decided Xander sounded more mature. After all, it’s common for someone named Bobby to become Bob or Robert later in life. The Cook portion of Xander’s moniker could be his mother’s maiden name for all we know. Sonny (Freddie Smith) recently went to visit his half-brother, Alex, in Phoenix. The name dropping may have been a way to jog everyone’s memory before Xander came strutting into town. We really don’t know much about Alex so he would be the perfect character to reintroduce. Unlike a lot of other characters, Xander doesn’t have an extensive past for “Days of Our Lives” writers to contradict.

Of course, we don’t want to assume too much here. Victor called him Alexandros so it’s possible that Xander is another nephew entirely. Then again, Victor could just be using the Greek version in an affectionate way. Whatever the case, we do know that Xander is Victor’s nephew and he told Nicole (Arianne Zucker) that he plans on sticking around for a while. The rumors say Xander will create some big drama in the near future. We’ll give you DOOL updates if we get official confirmation on Xander’s true identity.
