‘Days of Our Lives’ RUMORS Persist: Is Molly Burnett Returning as Melanie Jonas?

“Days of Our Lives” (DOOL) rumors tease that Molly Burnett may be reprising her role as Melanie Jonas. There has been much speculation over the past four to five months that Burnett is coming back to “DOOL.” And the rumors have now gone into overdrive – Jen Lilley (Theresa Donovan) recently started following Molly on Twitter.

Why do “Days of Our Lives” fans think Molly Burnett is coming back – what other clues are there besides Jen Lilley following Molly on Twitter? It’s important to remember that “DOOL” tapes approximately six months in advance. Jason47’s Days Website pointed out that Burnett’s photo was seen on the Friday, June 13 episode. Then in the June 23 edition of Soap Opera Digest insiders revealed that yes, the rumors that Burnett was returning to “Days of Our Lives” were true.

Is Melanie Jonas headed back to Salem later this year? There certainly seem to be a lot of signs indicating that this rumor may be true. Is Melanie coming back to town to stir up trouble for Theresa and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf)? Or is Melanie going to come between Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and her best friend Abigail Devareux (Kate Mansi)?

Or….is Melanie Jonas coming back for Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier)? Or will TPTB pair Melanie up with Dr. Fynn? Alexander Bruszt contract has been extended and “Days of Our Lives” producers are currently testing some chemistry tests to see who could be a long-term love interest for the good doctor! There are so many possibilities and if the rumors are true it will be great to have Molly Burnett – and Melanie Jonas – back on “DOOL.”
