‘Days of Our Lives’ News: William Shatner Watches ‘DOOL’ – Has Twitter Discussion With Fans

“Days of Our Lives” fans you are not alone in your love of the daytime drama! William Shatner – aka “Star Trek” Captain James T. Kirk – has been watching for a few days and he may be hooked. The iconic actor took to Twitter to discuss Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), Abigail (Kate Mansi) and Chad’s (Billy Flynn) storyline.

It appears that Shatner caught a couple of episodes of “Days of Our Lives” during the Thanksgiving holiday. The actor was a little bit surprised by the “sci-fi” aspect of the daytime drama. Bill Shatner tweeted to fans, “Watched @nbcdays some couple in a cabin wanted so much privacy that they had a baby and then shot the nurse! And they say I do sci-fi?”

Kate Mansi tweeted back to Shatner, “@WilliamShatner different strokes for different strokes I suppose sir 😉 – and fans got in on the discussion, too. Many attempted to explain the Ben/Abigail/Chad Necktie Killer-Abby kidnapped-Chad to the rescue triangle. One fan told Bill he should make a cameo appearance on “Days of Our Lives.”

When asked how long he had been watching “DAYS,” Shatner replied, “2 days.” Fans encouraged William Shatner to keep watching to see what happens. A few others referenced the crazy Marlena (Deidre Hall) possession storyline of 1995 – now that was some real science-fiction one tweeter replied.

A bit later Shatner tweeted that he felt Billy Flynn didn’t get any respect. “I did get a chance to see @billymflynn who is getting no respect. And I assume Sammy who texted is @Ali_Sweeney?” Billy tweeted back to Shatner, “@WilliamShatner @Ali_Sweeney who’s not respecting??? Days fans assemble…lets show William all the Chad love ; ) #days.”

“Days of Our Lives” fans and a few of the actors had a lot of fun tweeting back and forth about the current storylines. One fan suggested that Shatner should do a cameo and use his “mad Star Trek sci fi connections to bring Bo back. “@WilliamShatner oh pleeeeeease!….if you could bring Bo back…we’d love it!!! Lol.”

it’s nice to know that iconic actors like William Shatner are watching our soap operas, too. And who knows, maybe Shatner will make a special cameo on “Days of Our Lives.” He certainly would make an interesting short-term addition.
