‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Wally Kurth Confirms Losing Contract At ‘DOOL’ – Justin Kiriakis Still Filming Though!

‘Days Of Our Lives’ spoilers revealed yesterday that Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis) and Judi Evans (Adrienne) had been dropped off contract by ‘DOOL’ – and bumped down to recurring status.  Fans were obviously shocked by the news seeing as how Kurth had given up his gig at ‘General Hospital’ as Ned Ashton to star full-time on ‘Days Of Our Lives.’

On Wednesday December 2nd Wally took to Twitter to confirm the news, he revealed that the rumors were true and he had been dropped from his full-time contract at ‘Days.’  The actor went on to reassure his followers and ‘Days Of Our Lives’ fans that he was still very much a part of the action in Salem, and would not be gone entirely.  For now that is – let’s keep in mind that ‘Days‘ films 6 months in advance, so Kurth may be filming scenes now, but they could become more hit and miss in the future.

Wally Kurth tweeted this message to his fans, “News sure travels fast these days. I just heard yesterday afternoon @ my Days status. Woke up and heard it again on Twitter. I’m still in Salem. Still the DA. Still working. The show is really good and I’m still having fun. Remember, it’s called showBusiness.”

There is a bright side to all of this, believe it or not, Wally’s time has been freed up at ‘Days Of Our Lives’ – so that means that he could be returning to ‘General Hospital’ again to shoot some scenes as Ned Ashton.  Aside from Wally Kurth’s tweet this morning, no one from the ‘Days’ production team at NBC has actually addressed the news yet.  Are you shocked that ‘DOOL‘ dropped Wally and Judi from contract?  Let us know what you think in the comments below!
