Days Of Our Lives News: Peter Reckell And Stephen Nichols Return TO NBC Soap For 50th Anniversary

Peter Reckell and Stephen Nichols are returning to the NBC soap “Days of Our Lives!” According to all new spoilers from Soap Opera Digest, Ken Corday and TPT have inked deals with both Salem alums to return to the soap opera for the 50th anniversary. Soap Opera Digest teases, “The NBC soap will turn 50 on November 8, but look for the actors to pop up on screen well before then. Nichols was last seen in 2009; Reckell last aired in 2012.”

“Days of Our Lives” spoilers and rumors have been teasing the return of Peter Reckell as the iconic character Bo Brady for months now. Reckell mentioned on Twitter on more than one occasion that he was in talks with NBC to return to the soap, however nothing was ever made official. Reckell created quite a stir on social media when he left “Days of Our Lives” in 2012 and complained that he was unhappy with the storylines and the direction that they were taking his character. Bo Brady’s return to Salem should be an eventful one considering his longtime wife Hope Brady decided to divorce him while he was away and began dating Aiden.

Stephen Nichols played the part of Steven Johnson on “Days of Our Lives” from 1985-1990, and then he returned for a three year stint in 2006. The character of Steven Johnson was well known for his lengthy relationship with Kayla Brady. So far there are no “Days of Our Lives” spoilers teasing how long Finch will be in Salem this time around, but DOOL fans can rest assure that the writers will have him cross paths with Kayla Brady. The last time the super couple was seen together was in 2009 when they left Salem together, however Kayla later returned without Steve and said that things did not work out between them and he had rejoined ISA.
