“Days of Our Lives” casting news teases that Judi Evans and Wally Kurth could be OUT on this NBC soap opera. The news shocked the “DAYS” fans since the contract with the soap opera required him to formally leave “General Hospital.” With so many key “DAYS” actor’s exiting the soap, does the show have a prayer to stick around for the long haul?
Adrienne [Judi Evans] and Justin [Wally Kurth] debuted on “DAYS” in 1987, and effective immediately the duo was taken off contract. According to the report, the pair received the news on Monday, November 30, and according to the behind-the-scenes source, they were shocked at the decision. They thought their role on the show was secure, at least for a little while.

The decision to end Wally and Judi’s contract with “Days” went back a few months ago. The writers separated the happy couple when Justin had an affair with someone he worked with named Elsa. Adrienne found comfort in Lucas’ arms [Bryan Dattilo]. Recently, Justin was growing closer to Eve [Kassie DePaiva] while she grieved the loss of her daughter, Paige [True O’Brien].
As of right now, there is no word if Evans and Kurth remain on the show on reoccurring status. Wally Kurth has not revealed if he plans to return to “General Hospital” to reprise his role of Ned Ashton. Even if the pair remains on “DAYS” payroll, it seems extremely unlikely they will be involved in a major storyline, as the couple has not been seen much on the screen since their son’s death.
